Overview
A 1-minute walk from Shikotsu Toya National Park, Kitayuzawa Mori no soraniwa is located in the centre of the Kita Yuzawa hot-spring area. Reminiscent of a tropical beach, guests can enjoy swimming at the outdoor hot-spring pool. An indoor and outdoor hot-spring bath is also available for relaxation. Guests can use the free shuttle from the JR Sapporo Train Station upon advance request, or a 35-minute public bus ride from the JR Date Monbetsu Train Station. Shuttles are also offered to/from New Chitose Airport at an additional charge. The air-conditioned rooms feature Western-style beds and a tatami (woven-straw) seating area. Each includes a TV, a refrigerator, and an en suite bathroom with free amenities. The hotel provides an indoor swimming pool and a Karaoke room. Computers with internet access are by the lobby, and available for an extra cost. Duty-free shopping is available at the on-site gift shop. Both Western and Japanese dishes are served at the hotel’s restaurant. A buffet is available for dinner. Kitayuzawa Mori no soraniwa is a 30-minute drive from Lake Toyako and Lake Shikotsu. Sangaitaki Park is a 10-minute drive away.

“Good for families, not so much for couples”
Onsen experience was good. Particularly appreciated the free flow soups during tea time. Large and spacious lobby and room.

We like the onsen, which provides us a good relax bath after a whole day tour. There's a lot of choices of dishes for the buffet dinner and breakfast.

“Lovely family resort in the middle of a forest”
I love how thoughtful the place is for families esp. preschooling children or younger. They had kids in mind in every aspect of the place. From rooms, to onsen, the pool and even a kids buffet spread.

The whole hotel is very family-friendly. When the kids are done eating they can play in the back of the dinner hall and the parents can finish their dinner without a lot of stress. The indoor playground in the basement is also great and very helpful on rainy days. The dinner and breakfast buffet is amazing. There should be more hotels like this!
