Yamada was such a wonderful host, making us feel right at home. The room was just right for the two of us, and the house was a fantastic starting point for our ski adventures in the Niseko area. Each morning, we were treated to a simple but delicious breakfast that was on the house—fantastic! The room was a bit chilly in the morning when the heater was off, but if you’re okay with sleeping in a bit of cold, you’ll be fine. Plus, the thick bed sheets will keep you warm at night. If you are lucky, you might see the friendly Tanuki that lives near the house—be sure to be kind to him!

The family is incredibly kind, prepares breakfast they even helped me remove the snow from my car without me even asking. Go on the summer if you want to hike in winter you will need big equipment or if you want to ski it’s 30 min in car from a big station.

Guest house Yamada was an amazing place to stay on our holiday in Hokkaido. The lady and her son tended to our every need and made us some amazing ramen. Would recommend to anyone looking for a calm, quiet cultural experience.

While pretty remote it was very easy to access by public transports (only a 40 minutes bus ride from Datemombetsu station), the place itself is beautiful, and most importantly Yamada-san is probably the most helpful and attentive person I've met in Japan, she made us delicious ramen and helped us book a hotel !

We had an amazing stay at the place. The hosts were charming and made us feel at home. The hostess made us an amazing ramen soup for dinner and the breakfast was also excellent. Highly recommended!

The hostess was amazing. We had a lovely stay and would definetly stay again. The breakfast was really good, there was toast, some buns, many jams and salad. And tea, coffee and milk was available as well. An onsen is close by and free to use in the evening, the hostess prepared a full onsen set for us to use and gave us an onsen discount pass for other onsens in the area. It is close to the lake toya and onsen area. The room was really comfortable and we had a good sleep. Parking was available as well.

We had a super stay at Yamada. The family went out of their way to help us. Tea and toast with jam was wonderful for breakfast. Go stay there.

Very lovely hosts, made us breakfast every morning and even drove us an hour and a half away to the Noboribetsu station because we had made a mistake. Also drove us to the bus station because we were running late. Very very kind

The kindness of the woman and his son. :) They were so kind and welcoming. They even prepare a hot bath for us 🥰 it was just perfect.

The hostess was lovely! She brought me a coffee soon after arrival, and was keen to make sure I had everyrhing that I needed.

Real Hokkaido hospitality at its best. Would recommend to anyone looking to experience home life in Japan, especially if you like exploring and onsen hot springs - some of which are free. The host took amazingly good care of us and was happy to chat (Japanese). Natural hot spring water in the bath and geothermal heating is always good! Warm and cosy house.
