The property is in an amazing position with million dollar views. The meals are exceptional but you’d expect it to be for the price. It has a slight bohemian feel to it if you don’t mind the slight disarray of the yard and outdoor furniture. But the host and others are wonderful engaging people that make this a special place.

A secluded place, cut off from civilization. A real farm. If you're expecting 5-star service, this isn't the place for you. But if you want to get in touch with the lives of real people who live and work on this land, this is absolutely the best place. We stayed two nights, and the host fed us simple, home-cooked meals, which he cooked and ate himself. The wine was excellent. It's a fantastic place to catch a red sunset late in the evening and a convenient stop on the Corinian Trail for hiking.

From here, you can visit the ancient city of Knidos, walk the amazing Carian Trail, or swim in the crystal-clear waters of several nearby beaches, in addition to the hotel’s private beach. The rooms and services are simple and essential but that’s also what makes the experience unique. You’ll enjoy peace, silence, simplicity, and the warmth of heartfelt people. Please, leave your phone in the room and enjoy spontaneous conversations with staff and guests on the patio facing the sea — unless the sunset leaves you speechless. Talat will be your man, the open-hearted guardian of this place’s spirit, willing to meet your needs and make your stay unforgettable.

“Over our expectations”

It was over our expectations! The location and the place was great. The host was so kind and attentive, he made us feel at home with everything he has done and offered. The hotel is quite well designed and you're waking up to the best view of Dalyan. There's a beach that you can reach only by 10 minutes walking (not a pavement, it's an earth road) and if you're lucky about timing, it can be your private beach with the clearest of water. The dinner and breakfast were amazing as well. Thank you for all!

For Goknar is surrounded by the knidos ancient city, olive trees, light houses, caves… and a sea marble clean, the serene time-laps of the sun through night and day creates a scenery resembling that of a page ripped up of an epic poem. The imagery is introspective, heartwarming and authentic.

“MAGNIFICENT PLACE”

MAGNIFICENT PLACE. Excellent rooms, truly delicious breakfast. Isolated from the rest of the world, perfect for disconnecting from space and time and dedicating time to yourself and the person you're traveling with. It has a charming private beach. It's just a short walk from other beautiful, empty beaches. The splendid ruins of Knidos are a 10-minute drive away. The owner is extremely welcoming and helpful. We spent a day with him visiting various sites on the peninsula (all for free).

“Amazing location with very friendly and flexible management.”

The location is absolutely superb. The management and staff were extremely accommodating and service minded. There is a beautiful beach at the feet of the cliff which can be easily reached on foot, although the owner makes several daily trips up and down in his pickup. The view is spectacular and the pool area and terrace are wonderful. The food is quite good. The manager is extremely friendly and allowed us to do a late checkout free of charge.

We loved our stay at Goknar, we wish we stayed longer! The staff were friendly and helpful, they went above and beyond to make our stay special and by the time it was time to leave, it was like we were seen off by family. The breakfast was great, I looked forward to waking up every morning just to have it! We also had a couple of other meals at Yergok (the restaurant within Goknar) and everything we had were absolutely delicious! The private bay was absolutely divine, we had a great time snorkelling there and it's such a great to place to relax and lose track of time. The highlight of the trip were definitely the sunsets and the stargazing, Goknar is the spot for it!

A wonderful peaceful remote location in the middle of pure nature with a great view over the sea. A pool is available but you probably would prefer to go down to the small hidden private beach protected by rocks left and right and maybe you will see the milky way in the night or you enjoy the sea shimmering in silver by the light of the moon. You will like this place when you really open your mind.

Goknar Knidos is set in an absolutely unique location in the entire Datça Peninsula. Surrounded by unspoiled nature and breathtaking views, it offers a truly peaceful experience far from the crowds. While it is not a luxury/fancy hotel, it has a special charm and a deep connection with nature. What really makes the difference though is the incredibly dedicated and passionate staff, sharing their love for the area and making every guest feel at home. Breakfast is also very good. We would love to come back in the future!

“unforgettable place”

Incredible place, it has the most beautiful view of the Aegean sea ever. Only for lovers of nature, quiet beaches and peace. Breakfast super delicious in a terrace facing the sea and Knidos bay. Dinners full of Turkish exceptional appetizers and main dishes under a night sky filled with stars that only such an unpolluted place can show. Service from owner and staff is consistent with the great Turkish hospitality, they made our stay as comfortable and special as possible. I have wonderful memories of every single day spent there and I hope that I will be able to return for many more unforgettable holidays .

Göknar Knidos became a home, 3000 km away from home for us. Staff was great, Mr. Talat did everything and even more to give us a nice vacation time. They were all helpful, suggesting new places, offering new adventures, even rewarding our little discoveries 😂 I can frankly suggest everyone that is looking for a retreat house, away from everyone and everything, to find peace and joy in their vacations. And the sunsets are a total experience 😉

The whole feeling of the place is totally out of this world. It reminded me of the Sinai, a remote oasis far from civilization. The wind here is unlike anywhere else I've stayed. It gives you a right battering but washes away all your thoughts, silencing that constant inner monologue. I love those places that are so remote and self contained that I can finally disconnect from the rest of the world.

The bay and the road you take to the bay. The food with different mezes. The remoteness, the nature, the sky everyting was so simple and aligned naturally.

As the name says, it is a real oasis for calm and peaceful stays: it is like being in paradise. Staff always kind, smiling and relaxed. Food was very good.

Incredibly peaceful place, with very friendly owners. Feels like a slice of paradise — eating ripe figs straight off the tree, spending all day by the pool, perfect sunsets, private beach, watching shooting stars on the sun beds at night, simple but very tasty dinners. Honestly one of the most romantic and secluded hotels I’ve ever seen. We spent two nights here and never left the property — it had everything we needed and was wonderfully relaxing and special.
