We had an excellent stay at Copperleigh Trout Cottage. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. It was so quiet and peaceful — the perfect place to rest and unwind. We especially loved the wood-fired hot tub and the indoor fireplace, which created such a cozy atmosphere. The fishing was a bit tough during our stay, possibly due to the weather, but we still enjoyed the experience. If I could suggest one thing, it would be a bit more fishing advice for guests. Overall, I wouldn’t change a thing about the stay and would definitely recommend it!

Loved the cottage. Great decor, facilities and comfortable bedding. Amazing view and really lovely to see the sheep in the morning, setting off for a day's grazing. It's a beautiful setting. Wish we could have stayed longer and hope to return next year. Ashley was helpful and quick to respond to any issues.

An immaculate cabin overlooking the Mavela Dam. Comes equipped with high quality bedding, towels and crockery. The cherry on top is the little goodie basket with farm fresh eggs, tea, coffee and biscuits. I was on a hiking weekend, so I didn't get a chance to fully enjoy the farm. Will definitely go back just to enjoy the tranquility of the cabin's location.

We received a warm welcome from Ashley and a lovely little welcome basket with biscuits, tea, coffee, fresh milk, farm eggs and fresh garden flowers. The kitchen was well equipped; bed was very comfy. Braai area was cleaned daily and nice and private. The log cabin was delightful, right on the water's edge. Beautiful views of the mountains in the distance. Fishing was fun.

Everything.

Copperleigh is always a favorite for the family. The kids love being on the farm helping with feeding the sheep and seeing the other animals. The new hot tub is a win as well. Thanks Ash, Alvera and David again for their hospitality.

Stunning stay with all the bells and whistles. From farm eggs to delicious coffee. The hot tub was magnificent and never left to get cold. Spectacular stay. We will be back again for a longer stay.

The cottage is very well equipped and comfortable, with everything you need for a relaxing stay. The views and birdlife are next level and the dam is well stocked and maintained. A very peaceful place to spend a few days.

Copperleigh Trout cabin is an absolute gem! A stunning setting and so well equipped, we wanted for nothing. It was the attention to detail and the little extra touches, like farm fresh eggs and cookies, top quality linen and towels and heated towel rails that will make us regular visitors. Ashley was a superb host - I highly recommend this little slice of paradise.

Not a single thing stands out that wasn't top notch. The owners are welcoming, warm and friendly, and offer any help they can, handing out eggs from their chicken and offering a canoe for great lake trips. One of the most beautiful and exquisite stays of my whole trip.
