Overview
Jabal Shems provides authentic accommodation in tents and bungalows to experience a traditional Bedouin camp. Both accommodation types are fitted with modern amenities and include air conditioning as well as views of the mountain. Tents are decorated in typical Arabian style, while bungalows have a seating area with chairs and dining table. Both have a private bathroom fitted with a shower and free toiletries. It is possible to enjoy traditional Omani cuisine and local specialities at the buffet restaurant. Staff can also help and advice the best hiking trails around the famous Al Ḩamra Canyon and the surrounding desert.

“Great place to stay on Jebel Shams, very convenient for the summit walk.”
Amazing location, individual balconies are relaxing and also have great views. There’s a great sunset viewpoint up a small outcrop within the hotel compound.

We particularly appreciated the hotel's location, which offered a complete change of scenery. The staff is very welcoming and genuinely kind. The bed is really very comfortable. The evening meal was excellent with a wide selection. We loved it.

Nice and convenient location. Great to start the day for the exceptionally impressive Balcony Walk - be fit! Very friendly and supportive staff. Breakfast and diner was very good. Lots of choice.

Location and staff were excellent. Rooms were comfortable and had all necessities amenities as we were upgraded to Mountain View Although the catering staff were very nice and hospitable, unfortunate the quality of food let it down. Camel meat was good and salad excellent

“A home away from home”
The front office staff were very cordial. Tge welcome lemon ginger tea and warm.towel were very soothing after the drive. The rooms were well appointed. There was a room heater which gave a warm and cozy feeling as soon as we entered. The restaurant staff, Mr. Hari, in particular, was very helpful. The food was good. The gate of the property was controlled by remote sensing of the automobiles and so added privacy.
