Fantastic location. Great views.

The village of Dana is set on the side of the mountain and the 4 rooms look straight down the valley with uninterrupted amazing views. The rooms have comfortable beds, a great shower, and plenty of extra blankets and a fire for those colder nights. Rashid is an amazing host, such a friendly man with a huge amount of knowledge and passion for the local area and wildlife. For a fee he will act as your guide if you would like, but no pressure. Breakfast was lovely and traditional provided by Rashid. For dinner we chose to have meals cooked by local families - delicious and huge portions we could not finish (13 JOD). We fed leftovers with Rashid to a couple puppies and their mum. The sunsets were incredible, the people in the village just lovely.

“Amazing stay - all top notch!”

We loved the quaint village of Dana and especially this guest house with the breathtaking view from the terrace. The facilities were new and cozy, the local food delicious, and the conversations with the host Malik very interesting. We did a guided tour with him and he is extremely knowledgeable about the flora and fauna of the region and always has a funny story/anecdote up his sleeve. Highly recommended.

Beautiful spot. Right above the Dana Trail. Overlooking the borderregion. Park and nature magnificent. Malik knows all About the park and the animals. Beautiful pictures. Warm welcome. Advised to visit!

Malik is an excellent host and really knowledgeable. He took us out for a picnic, which was very cool. The room is also really nice and the view is incredible! Just be warned he is very good at chess!

“Beautiful and calm”

Beautiful location with a view over the Dana Valley. The host is very nice and has a extensive knowledge of the biosphere in the area. We went on a guided hike with him and learnt a lot as well as exploring the amazing landscape. I would highly recommend this place to stay.

“Incredible location in a very special place”

Malik's knowledge and passion for the area made this visit for us. He was able to tell us so much about the nature reserve and Jordanian culture which hugely enriched our experience. The location is unbeatable with incredible views down into the valley below. It was such a privilege to be able to sit on the beautiful terrace and enjoy the changing light and listen to the gentle tinkling of the goats' bells. As we sat and chatted, we watched a kestrel perch a few feet away and Malik was able to identify lots of other birds from both their appearance and their song. A heater was provided to chase off the evening chill and the breakfasts laid on were amongst the tastiest we had in Jordan. It was also helpful to have a kettle so we could sit with a cup of something warm on the terrace. The peace and amazing views would have been sufficient to make this one of our favourite spots in Jordan, but our interactions with Malik and his wonderful family made the experience all the more special. Arrangements were made with families in the village to provide evening meals which helped spread income from tourism across the community.

Malik is the best host ever and an awesome scientist that shares his passion about Dana reserve. He makes you feel like his family. The room is pretty and has a wonderful view and the area is stunning.

“Must-visit hotel in a must-see place”

Great view - it sounds a bit trivial and as usual in tourist reviews. The panoramic view from the terrace of the Dana View Guest House is simply spectacular. The hotel is located in the middle of a very picturesque area. Believe me, there is no photo that compares to the true beauty of this place. When you take two steps out of your room and stand in front of the valley, you will feel deeply immersed in the landscape. In Jordan, you'll likely visit many places with stunning views, including the Dead Sea, Wadi Rum, Petra, and Hammat am Main. They are all wonderful. However, if you want to spend time in a unique place, without crowds, noisy companions, face to face with nature and overwhelming space, this is the place you are looking for. Dinner at sunset on the terrace will be a captivating experience. As well as a tasty breakfast on a pure morning. You can watch birds flying over the valley, shepherds with dogs, sheep and goats descending into the rocky abyss. And the bright moon and stars in the silent night and the little lights of shepherds' fires in the mountains. Romantic and priceless time. Unforgettable. Small and quiet hotel with very comfortable and spacious rooms and bathrooms. Everything is clean and new. Hot water in the shower. Bottled water and an electric kettle in the room. We paid extra for a hot vegetarian dinner, it was fresh and delicious, like homemade food. A large breakfast in the style of local cuisine with aromatic tea. Everything is worth the price. Malik, the owner of this hotel, is friendly, polite and extremely helpful, but not pushy. A truly honest and generous man. If you are an open person, talking to Malik can be a real pleasure. Maybe smoking shisha together. This is a good opportunity to learn about Dana's wildlife as Malik has worked in the Dana Biosphere Reserve

The view is breathtaking, best Deal in Dana for us, best guesthouse very good breakfast on the terrace in front of the room with the amazing view to Dana Trail. We highly recomment this place!!

“Fantastic and friendly guest house”

A superb place to stay. Malik was very friendly and welcoming, and a great tour guide for a local hiking trail. He has so much knowledge of the natural world and Dana. He provided us with cups of tea, delicious local food and made us feel so welcomed. The location provides a wonderful view over the area, and it's very peaceful at night. The room was clean and cosy.

The location of the guesthouse is perfect as it is quite and you have a phenomenal view at the Valley of Dana. The guesthouse has only thee rooms so it feels very personnel. The best of the guesthouse is Malik - the owner - who is one of the nicest persons we met in Jordan. It was an unforgettable stay and we will definitely come back!

The very friendly and knowledgeable host sat with us upon arrival at 10 pm and told us everything we needed to know about the fauna, flora, and history of the village. The room itself was fine. Basic but the big blocks of white stone create a charming atmosphere.

Malek is a gem ! It is so helpful and he loves is job. He made me really comfortable and welcome us very well . The room are beautiful and you have all you need. He prepared us a good breakfast and gave us good tips for dana. Also there is an incredible view :)

Great view. The homecooked meals are served on the terrace with free view of the canyon. Clean rooms. Very quiet except for animals like jackals or wild dogs - as the guesthouse is located at the biosphere reserve. The owner is a very nice host who provides lots of informations about the reserve as he used to be a guide

It’s just awesome! The view, the rooms and especially the manager Malik makes you feel like home. Very knowledgeable, kind and supportive in planning hikes and meals. He works with a local family that provides great food for a reasonable price. I’d always come back!
