The isolation and the beauty of the spot was just what we wanted, the pool was wonderfully clean and the villa was more than large enough for us and our daughter.

Villa Mankani is an exceptional eco-concept villa in Dambulla, offering a spacious environment perfect for relaxation. It is conveniently located near Dambulla city and the main road, making it an ideal spot for a relaxing family holiday. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. Mr. Nalin, the manager, and Mr. Binura were always willing to help throughout our stay. The villa features a beautiful pool and a lovely garden filled with mango trees. We particularly enjoyed the fresh mangoes and delicious mango juice provided during our visit. The rooms are comfortable and consistently follow the eco-concept with wonderful lighting. We highly recommend this location for nature lovers. It is very close to the Rangiri Dambulla Cave Temple, though it is a bit further from Pidurangala Rock. The breakfast was a highlight as it was especially tasty.

Very spacious and modern place a bit out of main road in the mango fields. Peaceful and truly lovely. Everything was clean and stuff were super nice. They provided the most amazing dinner and lovely breakfast. Would definitely recommend staying there and also ordering dinner!

Great location at a mango plantage. Bungalow giving you a full nature experience, so if you can't handle it, take the rooms in the houses. The staff is very kind and helpful, the even prepared dinner exactly according our needs, since we are in a special diet.

We stayed two nights at Villa Mankani, it was amazing! The house we had was huge and modern, the bathroom was really nice and it was very clean. Most of the time we were alone and it was so quiet and relaxing. We also ate breakfast and dinner there - both were very delicious. The staff arranged tuk-tuks for us and even organized a trip to see the sunrise at Pidurangala. The location is great too: the Cave Temple and the town center are only about 10 minutes away. Thanks so much for everything – we loved this place and would definitely come again. It was magical!

Anula’s cooking is pure magic. Every meal, bursting with authentic Sri Lankan flavor, felt like a warm hug — especially for our 9-year-old vegetarian daughter, who suddenly ate everything with joy. But what truly made Villa Mankani unforgettable were the people. Nalin — the heart and soul of this place. Yes, he’s the manager, but more than that, he’s the spirit of Villa Mankani. Kind, calm, generous — he made us feel truly seen and at home. We’ve met many wonderful people in Sri Lanka, but Nalin is in a league of his own. Binura — always warm, gentle, ready to help before you even know you need it. Anula — not just a cook, but a mama in spirit, with kindness in every word and every dish. The night guard — greeting us every evening with a smile that made us feel safe and cared for. Animals — three sweet, friendly dogs, and one tiny superstar: Ellie, the dachshund puppy who stole our daughter’s heart. Every morning began with, “Can I go see Ellie now?” When we left, there were tears… And then — the moment that left us speechless: as we were saying goodbye, Nalin quietly handed our daughter a gift — a soft little teddy bear to remember them by. That gesture, so simple and full of love, broke our hearts in the best way. Villa Mankani reminded us that true hospitality isn’t about luxury — it’s about humanity.
