It was very pleasant. The owner is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is fantastic. The rooms are clean and the beds are excellent. We have nothing but positive things to say.

I had a very pleasant stay at this beautiful place. The surroundings are lovely, and my room was clean and very well equipped, with a mosquito net, air conditioning, and a fan — everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The location is excellent, just a short walk from the Dambulla Cave Temple, which makes it very convenient for visiting. The owner and his family are very kind and welcoming. They organized a safari for me at Hurulu Eco Park as well as a visit to Pidurangala Rock with a driver, which made everything easy and convenient. The breakfast was excellent and very generous. I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice and comfortable stay.

We booked in advance. Train in from colombo. Tuktuk to location. Told they doing renos. But the web page said still had rooms. We were stranded in Dambulla at 10 pm

“Probably the best "Home Stay" in and around Dambulla”

We stayed at Vihangi nearly six years ago and following our visit gave an excellent review. And, we returned recently and we are pleased rate our stay this time as " exceptional" . Kumara and Kalyani are superb hosts who endeavour to do their utmost to ensure that their guests enjoy the best possible service. The place is squeaky clean and immaculate. The breakfast is superb. We reside in the UK and have been travelling to Sri Lanka every year for the last forty years. Over this time we have stayed in numerous hotels, air B&B and home stays in Sri Lanka Vihangi, in our view and experience, is the best Home Stay in and around Dambulla.

The owners were really nice. The breakfast was amazing anf the bed was super comfortable! Everything was very clean! It was the first room I felt really comfortable in (travelling for 2,5 weeks already by myself). Can‘t beat the price. It has a lovely terrace, where you can hang out. It is a bit outside of town which was perfect for me. Very close to the golden and cave temple.

In a quiet location away from the town centre, large bed / room / bathroom, A/C, modern & clean.
