We loved our stay at Sashin Lake Resort. It's simple but clean, and the family who runs the business is super helpful. It's faced a lovely lake and the breakfast was wonderful. We highly recommend.

“Lovely stay by the lake”

Lovely views by the lake, was a bit out of the town but they have a great tuk tuk driver who is very good value to take you wherever you need to go. Is about 30mins in a tuk tuk from Sigiriya

the hotel is near by lake.there are beautiful view and garden. there are many kinds of birds around. we can often see monkey play on the tree. totally the nature environment is very good. this hotel is runned by a family,they provided warmly service. we had a nice holiday in this hotel.

Great location, overlooking a lake, which made the delicious breakfasts very picturesque. On one occasion there were rabbits in the garden. I never found out where they came from, but were a welcome addition. The temple in the rocks was situated just over the road, and Sigiriya only half an hour away.

Much bigger room than expected. Beautiful property, with a relaxing garden, overlooking the lake. Breakfast was served here. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Located just opposite the temple in the rocks, and half an hour from Sigiriya. Would highly recommend.

The hotel is located about 15–20 minutes from the center of Dambulla, which is actually a big advantage. It’s very quiet and peaceful, surrounded by nature, with views of a small and a large lake near a cliff. Local shops and places with local food are only about a 5-minute walk away. The temple is also very close and can easily be reached on foot. The owners are extremely kind and welcoming, and you can clearly see that they take great care of the property. The room was clean, tidy, and well maintained. The owner also offers safaris and tuk-tuk tours at reasonable prices, and you can easily plan a full day of attractions with him.

Room was simple but clean. The owners were super friendly and helpful. We had reservation with breakfast which were fresh and tasty. Also we ordered dinner which was delicious local homemade food.

Breakfast was exceptional Garden tranquil, family gentle and not pushy. Restful. I’ll put garden seats in at home now, as found this a wonderfully calming garden .

The lake is super close you can see by night also glowworm. the breakfast is amazing.

the owners were so friendly and the view was amazing, supermarket close by, tasty breakfasts, and the owners brother is a tuk tuk driver who took us out to places, waited for us, and took us home for a very good price. would definitely recommend.
