One of the BEST places we’ve stayed in Sri Lanka!! We Loved everything about this Gorgeous Homestay. Amazing location to the stunning caves, the most beautiful hosts who spoilt us with amazing food & kindness overload. Treated to a beautiful clean room & wonderful comfortable house.. home away from home!!

My Daughter and I loved our stay at Rock View, the property is in a lovely location, very peaceful and with a very easy walk to Dambulla Cave Temple. Upul and his wife are such great hosts, very helpful taking us to the city for dinner and to see a temple with amazing views. Very clean, lovely balcony area to sit and delicious breakfasts. We highly recommend this homestay to other travellers.

A Truly relaxing place owner is absolutely fantastic.the room and bathroom very clean and comfortable there is nice belcony I could see monkeys squirrels and nice birds.owner arrenge elephant safari and tuk tuk go to sigiriya .super delicious food.cave temple is very close to 5 minutes walking distance I can hardly recommend for other guests.

We liked the hospitality and local tips on where to go. We loved the Sri Lankan breakfast which was different each day. It was fun to watch the monkeys from the balcony. It was a lovely 15 minute walk to the Temple Caves.

Gorgeous balcony overlooking a quiet jungly street, where you could watch monkeys playing. Very friendly hosts who chatted to us and cooked a delicious filling breakfast. Rooms were very spacious and clean. Amazing location just a short walk from the cave temples so we went there early in the morning before breakfast.

Nice Clean home, cozy terrace with a view on the trees and monkeys coming to spy on us 🤭. Very silent position. The hosts took very good care of us spoiling us with Sri Lankan Breakfast and suggestions about daily activities

Great quiet location near the Cave Temple. Villa with three spotless rooms and surrounded by greenery and palm trees. Wathsala and her family were very warm and welcoming. Outstanding breakfast. Highly recommended.

Ideal for us just out of town and good location for the caves.

Upul and his wife were very welcoming and kind. They helped us make a better plan for our trip (it was our first night in sri lanka) and made us delicious breakfast! The homestay is beautiful and very comfortable. Definitely stay with them if you're around :)

Upul and Wathsala were very welcoming and gave us great advise. Upul sent us on a lovely 10min walk up the side of Dumbulla Rock to watch the sunset. The breakfast was great. Lovely location, and really good to have use of the fridge for cooling drinking water. Walking distance to good restuarant options. We left early to visit Sigiriya and we were able to take a portable breakfast with us. Good aircon in the rooms

“The best breakfast”

Due to our late flight we arrived in the late evening 10PM. The owner was waiting us kindly and helped carriing our luggages. The room is nice and clean everything is working properly. The breakfast was the top. The owner's wife is a very kind person who prepared the best breakfast we ever had in Sri Lanka.

Brilliant location, 5 mins on foot from the Dambulla Cave &Temple entrance in a quiet area, ideal for an early, meditative visit of the caves before the crowds (I went twice). Lovely hosts, tasty food. The room itself had a nice view over a coconut tree, without being overlooked. Note: the room did have air con.

Located very close and within walking distance to both Dambulla Town, the Cave Temples and Golden Temple with a towering Buddha statue and museum. The hosts were fantastic and very accommodating. We were welcomed with a delicious avocado smoothie, they helped us out with washing clothes and the breakfast was authentic and very tasty. We were even given a lift to the ticket office as we’d arrived slightly later than expected.
