Amazing place ! And the owner and his family super friendly!

When I first arrived, I thought where I was going. But later I realized that what I had chosen was the right decision. I decided to stay at their place for a day. Their love, kindness, advice and the convenience of going to all the places I had come to when I was ready to start my journey made me decide to stay here for a few days. I went to Anuradhapura and came back and went to Polonnaruwa and came back. I was able to go on an elephant safari with them for less than I expected. Ranjith and his family are all very kind. If I come back to Sri Lanka, I will definitely stay here. The safety and love we get in a country like Nanna are here. I recommend Dambulla City Hostel to you. I wish their business to grow day by day.

“Nice stay, but a bit hard to find at night”

I stayed here for 2 nights. The people are very pleasant, and they offer a reasonably priced breakfast. The rooms are clean and there's hot water. The only issue is that the hostel is quite difficult to find in the evening if you don't know the area. The street is very dark, you can't see the road well, and there are no visible signs. Google Maps shows the location a bit inaccurately as well. Other than that, a good stay!

You feel like you are in the middle of the jungle. The family is very nice and helpful.

the host was very friendly and helpful, his family was welcoming. the dorm is good for the little money you pay and everything was clean. breakfast was so yummy.

Friendly and relaxed. Good privacy Quiet location

The host was super friendly, he organized us a van to Pidurangala rock for the morning and was generally very helpful! The rooms etc. were very clean and lockers big enough for a big backpack. Only thing, the smell in one of the bathrooms was a bit bad, but with ventilating that was fine as well. Each bed has a mosquito net, ventilator and power socket. There were many restaurants nearby and Dambulla Cave Temple was only a half hour walk away (but the host could have organized a taxi there too). In general, it was a great stay and we'd definitely recommend!

Very nice, quiet hostel hidden from the loud streets of Dambulla. Location is perfect, close to the main road, bus station, shops and restaurants. Owner is helpful and always there to support. Breakfast is a typical Sri Lankan dishes prepared by owner's wife. Facilities are basic but nothing what you need is missing.

The owner is super helpful. He prepared a booklet of attractions in or nearby Damubulla, which enriched my journey and time in Dambulla so much His daughter is very clever and friendly, which made my time here memorable.

“Quiet and affordable place run by a lovely family”

I can definitely recommend this place! Its very affordable and quiet at night. The 4 bed dorm has its own bedroom and is equipped with everything you need (lockers, fan). Each bed has a mosquito net, an individual fan and a power plug to Charge your phone. The Main house has a little terrace in front which is really chill. There are also some seats in the Backyard where you can enjoy the excellent breakfast. The owner amd his Family are super friendly. He helps you out with anything you need and speaks very good english. If i will come back to dambulla i will definitely stay here again.

“Amazing hostel! Amazing host!!”

This lovely, clean and comfy hostel is just a short walk from the bus station and is owned by an exceptionally generous and kind family. With a large supermarket within 500m and the quiet location away from major roads I can’t recommend it enough, especially for its very reasonable price ! If you get the chance to try some traditional home cooked Sri Lankan food I recommend it!

The homestay offers excellent value for money. The owner and his family are very warm and welcoming, providing lots of information about nearby attractions. You can also book tours directly through them. The breakfast is affordable and plentiful.
