Absolutely everything. The rooms were fantastic and spacious, beds comfortable. The pool was great and needed in the heat, the breakfasts are so big you don’t even need to eat the rest of the day but it’s the staff that really make it. The most lovely owners, they really made us feel at home even helping us out with rides to places. Honestly I can’t say enough good about this place. Thank you guys, see you again soon 🙏

The owners and the staff are awesome. We were the only guests at the time of our stay and had a great time. The owner Nimal even dropped us off at the cave temple and had good advice all free of charge. We received several free, fresh and tasty fruit coctail. The pool in the hotel's natural garden was very lovely and a lot of birds and squirrels could be observed. The diverse breakfast was more than plenty and very good. The arranged tour to Pidurangala was very enjoyable aswell, with a very kind tuk tuk driver. The laundry service was very fast and affordable. Rooms were very clean! The best stay we had during our trip through sri lanka.

The staff were so friendly and helpful. They were great with the children. The food was delicious. We ate there every night of our stay! The facilities were clean, and although basic, the hotel had everything we needed.

Lovely oasis of calm. Surrounded by birds and lovely room. The owner was fantastic and drove us to the cave temples and neighbouring temple, and waiting to bring us back without wanting payment. The chef prepared the best food we have had in Sri Lanka, even the jam was homemade. All cooked with real commitment.

The hosts are very friendly and helpful with tips , and make sure you feel welcomed. Our rooms were very clean and comfortable with AC. The hotel is walking distance from local shops and restaurants which was convenient, and the food in-house was great and very generous portions! Altogether a lovely stay!

Staff and breakfast are definitely the highlight. Pool is also really good, but not ideal for sunbathing if that's what you're after, since it's an area that's fully surrounded by trees

“Perfect base for Sigiria, Dambulla cave temples and elephant safari.”

This has been our first accommodation in Sri Lanka and we were so happy to have booked it. Our hosts made us very welcome and chef cooked delicious breakfasts and curry, rice and hoppers. The room was very spacious and clean. The mini fridge with cold water and air conditioning was appreciated. The beds were comfy and the shady pool area and pool jets made our relaxing time feel special. Our trips were outstanding and the drivers exceptional - the hotel organised everything. Day one was a safari to Hurulu Eco Park where we lost count of the elephants we saw. Our driver had a knack of finding them and spotted three family grouping. Dambulla Cave temples for sunset followed. Today we did Sigiria Rock with Sunel who picked us up at 4.30am for an ascent to see sunrise. Sunel then took us to some beautiful areas to see wildlife.

“A Very Comfortable and Beautiful Stay”

I loved this property, its location was ideal and was in a quiet area and the value for money was great! The pool was very nice and clean, and the food was excellent! We had breakfast which was very nice and you had plenty! Located not far from Sigiria and Lion Rock and close to Dambulla Cave Temple. Evening meal was really nice and tasty too and the staff were exceptionally friendly and very polite! They couldn’t do enough for you! Would definitely recommend and use again. Thank you for an amazing stay.

“Lovely leafy retreat in the centre of Dambulla.”

This small hotel is an excellent, shady, haven close to the centre of Dambulla town. The rooms are comfortable and the staff very friendly. The food is excellent and very generous in quantity! There is a cute little swimming pool and even a sauna if you want one. The hosts are super accommodating and can't do too much to help you. I loved my stay here. I strongly recommend this place and suggest you ask them to book you on the hot air ballooning trip.

We stayed in the family room. It was one of the newest one, it was spacious, clean, comfortable especially with the aircon. We enjoyed the facilities: comfortable room, pool, restaurant. Meals were delicious, notably the breakfast! And of course the staff was amazing, so helpful. The owner made really nice recommendations regarding safari location and time, temple to visit, and even took us to a lake nearby for a good view. Loved our stay!

“Happy retreat in Dambulla”

We really enjoyed our stay at Gala Addara. Our hosts were great, the staff were lovely and everyone was attentive and accommodating. The breakfast was huge with lots of good options and they made sure we tried different food at meal times, elephant fruit and string hopper etc. the host went above and beyond to drive us to a massage place nearby and both the massage and safari they recommended were really good. I would definitely stay here again and I'd recommend for anyone in the area. The rooms were mosquito free which is great in this area and there was plenty of space. The pool was clean and refreshing. The overall experience felt authentic and thoughtful.
