We had a wonderful stay at this guest house in Ambulla. The family who runs it is incredibly kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with a genuine smile. They made us feel at home from the very first moment. The food was absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and prepared with great care. Every meal felt special and gave us a real taste of local Sri Lankan cuisine. The atmosphere is peaceful and authentic, perfect for relaxing and experiencing the true spirit of Sri Lanka. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the hospitality of the family made the experience unforgettable. We highly recommend this guest house to anyone visiting the area. Very nice room with comfortable bed, spacious. Not far away from the cave temple. Nice host and their family are lovely. Good breakfast and good service.

Very nice stay. It wasn’t a problem at all to change rooms when we spontaneous came with 3 people instead of 2. The breakfast was very nice. I even forgot my sunglasses there and they made sure I’ll get them back.

The 1st floor room was very beautiful, the house lies in natural environment. There was a balcony and sitting furniture outside.Bed was spacious and comfi. The laundry service was super, clothes were very clean and smelled great.

I had the room upstairs, it was very spacious and clean. The balcony was beautiful and quiet. The breakfast was great aswell. The Hosts are very very friendly and really want to make everything possible.

Nice to be at a family homestay. 5min tuttuk to the city and the temple. Also 5mins to the Lori animals night park. Basic rooms, hot shower though. For this price not bad. But humid room, a lot of mosquitoes and no net. Local breakfast included.

Era welcomed us with his big smile and open heart, he was so helpful and told us all the cool hotspots on where to visit. The room was immaculate, spacious and homely. The breakfast was delicious and actually the best one we have had on the trip so far yet . Highly recommend!!.

“Wonderful stay at Aloe Vera”

We really enjoyed our stay at Aloe Vera. We loved the tropical surroundings, the peace and the calm. The family is truly kind and welcoming, they helped us decide which activities to do and even accompanied us. Overall, it’s a very peaceful place and the food is excellent.

A very nice stay. The hosts of the hotel were very nice and helpful. The breakfast was amazing. The room had a very nice terrace and there was a porch in the garden to have breakfast. We recommend it 100%.

The owners are incredibly kind and welcoming – it's a true family-run place, and you can feel the warmth in everything they do. They were always ready to help with anything we needed. We also had dinner here, and it was absolutely delicious! Every morning started with a perfect breakfast that made our days even better. They even took us on a tuk-tuk tour and waited for us wherever we went – such thoughtful and generous hosts. Truly a lovely and memorable stay!
