Great facilities, comfort and cleanliness. Comfy beds, large bathrooms. Very good hosts, very welcoming. The neighborhood is very quiet, away from the noise of the city, which is great. Easy and quick to get up to Taroko, or down to Hualien. Additionally, it's close to Qixingtan Beach, which has a good lane for running/biking. You might be able to hear the other guests speaking in common areas (kitchen, dinner tables), but that was not an issue for us, since our group was the only one staying on that weekend (we got three of the rooms). Therefore, it may be ideal for large families or groups of friends that require many rooms, and all know each other - and consequently will not feel bothered by other people talking in common areas.
