Location and view

Beautiful setting six miles from Dahab town, set in individual villas, tiered in levels down to the sea. Best view of sea are from the 1st floor terraces. Grounds and setting well kept with gardens and plants. Warm welcome and communication especially from Mohamed, in Reservations and Christina at the front desk who was professional, friendly, superb and helpful. An asset to the Hotel. She spoke good English and was super attentive to our requests. It was wonderful to be welcomed by the only woman member of staff currently employed, putting us at ease. Nothing was too much trouble. Hamedy cheerfully transported our suitcases with a ready smile. Hotel provides free shuttle bus to Dahab at 11 am and 8,30 p.m as well taking guests names and rooms to ensure they return safely. There is regular tuff tuff bus to take guests down the steep slope to various levels, available from 7am to 11pm. We needed that as grounds are tiered with steps and paths and are steep. Staff generally are helpful. Our room was cleaned superbly by Ibrahim and his team. There is a friendly animation team who are cheerful and personable. Housekeeping and laundry were good, clothes returned, washed and ironed on the same day and costs reasonable. Staff in dining room especially Essam, Kimo and ``Mohamed are attentive as is restaurant supervisor. Buffet offered variety at breakfast and supper with cream cheeses salads , pasta station. We especially loved the kofta which was delicious.

The stunning sea view, vibrant house reef, crystal-clear waters, and kind helpful staff made the stay especially memorable. “The lovely lady at reception, Christian Gamal, welcomed me with a warm smile after a long journey. As all hotels in Dahab are old, but this one is well maintained, everything worked. Breakfast was good. There were few guests in May. Quiet. Nice view of sunrise in Lagoon. Boardwalk and coral are beautiful.

The "Ecotel Dahab Bay View Resort", formerly part of the Steigenberger Group, is built into the hillside. This means that, much like in an amphitheatre, every room offers a magnificent view of the Gulf of Aqaba and Saudi Arabia. The well-maintained beach features palm trees and windbreaks, showers and a beach bar. The rooms are immaculately maintained. Two bottles of water, Nescafé and tea are provided free Even the coffee at breakfast tastes richer than I have ever experienced in a hotel. Those who want to keep active can join the animation team's programme: Loosen up your hips with a morning dance, followed by professional stretching by the pool, Zumba in the afternoon, table tennis and volleyball, plus a children's programme. In the evenings, there's dancing and a different show every day until 11 pm. The team is highly professional and serves the guests with joy and passion. I would particularly like to thank Dodo, Fawaz and Zidane for their dedicated efforts and the fun they brought to the experience. The team at the reception was also very keen and helpful, e.g. calling taxi or printing some dokuments. By way of example, I would like to mention Ms. Christina and Mr. Ibrahim here. The hotel has a great bar and there is a shuttle bus to Dahab twice a day.

The Front Desk Manager demonstrated high professionalism and empathy by offering a room upgrade as service recovery, though my schedule did not allow me to accept it. ​Regarding the restaurant, the physical layout is spacious and well-designed, and the food variety offered is extensive.

Calm clean excellent facilities. As l am vegan the salads and veg dishes were excellent..Very good choice of food for everyone. Pool is huge and fun SPA also is incredible Staff are genuine kind ans welcoming. Will be back next year to relax Highly recommended

The food taste good,but not much change in the menü repeats every view days. The bed was nice. The view in the morning to sunrise was amazing. The Gym has everything you need.

Room was spacious and had a beautiful view on the sea (as many of the rooms have due to the way the hotel is built on a hill ). Shuttle bus service up and down the hill was very much appreciated
