Had a beautiful experience staying at this homestay. The hosts were extremely welcoming, and moved all our luggage into our room for us when we arrived. Motorbikes are available for rent at very good rates which elevated our stay. The location is in a prime position allowing for short motorbike trips to anywhere we wanted to go. There are also several dogs and cats throughout the property which we found lovely. On our last night, our night bus got cancelled last minute and we had no other option for transport. Luckily, the host went out of her way to help us organise a new bus that picked us up outside the hotel. We were also provided with tea, snacks and TV while waiting for our bus which was really sweet. Would 100% come back here and recommend it to anyone else.

“Highly Recommend”

Very friendly hosts and comfortable bed. The location was perfect for us, it was in a quiet location but within walking distance to many of the amenities. We were about an eight min walk from the markets, less than a five minute walk to the most wonderful restaurant and a minute walk from a Beer bar with lots of types of beer to try. The host were super accommodating and spoke very good English. They had adorable dogs - I would recommended bringing earplugs if you are not a heavy sleeper. This wasn’t an issue for us as we love dogs and we are both heavy sleepers. They had a lovely little cafe upstairs with great service also. I would highly recommend staying here fantastic value for money and impeccable hospitality.

Location

The staff couldn't do enough for me - I was allowed early check-in, then offered a free upgrade to the 'executive suite' when I realised that the room I'd reserved had no window. Once you know where it is, the location is good, walkable to some sights, and with plenty of places to eat nearby. And my upgraded room was big and comfortable, with a nice couch and big TV.

The owner was very kind and co operative! Would recommend all to stay here..

“Fantastic Homestay”

Loved staying here! The hostess is very attentive and keen to help. We were super lucky and she kindly upgraded us to the executive suite, which was stunning! Very clean room, very comfortable. We also hired a scooter from them and they would have booked our onward bus, had we not already booked it in advance. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the lovely Da Lat.

The staff were very friendly, helpful and English was good which helps.

I loved my stay at this hotel. It’s in a great location near the center but away from the traffic and noise. The family who owns this hotel is lovely and they speak English. They are also extremely kind, I felt so welcome from the moment I arrived. Every day they would ask me if I need anything if they can help me with a smile. The icing on the cake, is they rescue street dogs and cats and cats for them. I hope to stay here next time I’m in Dalat. Thank you for everything!

“Amazing location, superb room, stunning views”

Huge room, comfortable bed, good shower, wooden floors, amazing balcony with one of the best views of the river in the city. And side lights by the beds, a rare thing in asia. Amazing location 2 minutes from the main walking street. Helpful manager always around to look after you.

The room was comfortable, the bed was huge. I got an upgrade to a better room. The host was very friendly and helped me to save a fair bit on my taxi to the airport. The location was great as well as you are walking distance from the city center.

“Cosy and very welcoming”

Such a friendly and helpful owner, great central location and a stylish, cosy room. The TV had netflix which is a plus! Also some very sweet animal friends at the property (cats and dogs).

“Doc May Villa was wonderful and we would stay there again!”

We loved the Location, the room (despite not having a city view), the comfy bed, great shower, Motor scooter rental, and our host Yom. Yom has several pets, yet they will not enter your room. We found them gentle and they did not awaken us. More details: YOM is such a wonderful human! She was so attentive, kind and generous with information and conversations. We stayed on top floor in the "Executive Suite", which is a large bedroom with private bath and draped windows. As AC is not necessary in Da Lat, the large quiet ceiling fan was more than adequate. Breakfast is not provided, but Yom has a few great recommendations and we loved all we visited. You can't go wrong in Da Lat, and don't miss the amazing daytime street market and food vendors on the town center's steps. The night market is mostly clothing and dry goods. We would stay there again in a heartbeat. If you like the smaller friendly Homestay vibe over modern hotels, Doc May Villa will delight you. Just be pet friendly, and a tip: pet the dogs before the cats! --- NOTE: This is the Doc May Villa, NOT Doc May Guest House or Doc May Hotel. Some reviews on the internet have confused this as they share the same base name due to changes in Doc May ownership a few years ago.
