“Boring and way overpriced - TOURIST TRAP”
Everything was OK-ish. Nothing was outstandingly bad, but the room was boring and the shower lukewarm, for the price of a decent hotel.

“Dissapointing & Sloppy”
I have been traveling from Selina to Selina for a while since I love the brand. This, however, has unfortunately be one of the poorest stays I’ve ever had. It already started when we arrived in this Selina. The girl at the reception almost seemed indifferent to see us checking in. We got a cold welcome after a VERY long trip, and got seemingly slightly annoyed that we didn’t immidiately know where our room was and she ‘had’ to show us. She was unpleasant to be around but also the face of Selina when you walk in, which seems strange to me. My friend and I were baffled by the ‘welcome’ we received. I promised her not all Selina’s are like this. The micro room itself was fine except from the loudly screeching door, that will wake you up if a room mate - or anyone in the hallway - opens the door. It’s old and squiky. The common bathroom had a broken hand towel dispenser, a broken shower door, a shower that changes temperature from freezing cold to burning hot. It also had a very poor look overall. The restaurant is in a dark basement and always has only one person working. The food takes forever, you won’t get served the first 15 min anyway, and the so called ‘granola’ are just suggary, carton-tasting sugar puffs. The pancakes are super dry. Very dissapointing since the food at the other Selina’s is normally great. The breakfast person was pleasant, though. When my friend gor altitude sickness during our stay, we got her hooked up to an oxygen tank (nobody told us there was one for emergencies?), and it did not get cleaned neither before or after her use. Nobody came to check on her either. Nobody seemed to care she was really ill. With this Selina, you have to ask for everything since the staff isn’t attentive whatsoever. This Selina feels sloppy, dark and unwelcoming, eventhough you pay a high price per night. It’s just not up to their normal standarts and we left very dissapointed. A real shame.

The staff were very friendly, and the hotel was well kitted out with everything you might need. It also had a really cosy Peru theme which was welcoming and immersive. When I arrived my room was upgraded to have a private bathroom.

WiFi was very fast and the common area was nice to lounge (although quite small for the size of the hostel). Breakfast was pretty good (choice of 1 of the menu options), and staff at the front desk helped to book some tours. Location was pretty good, 10-15min walk to the Plaza de Armas.

“Amazing place!”
Very nice place, comfortable beds, lots of activities (markets in the backyard, group meetings), good ambiance, good customer service (Lorena and Deivid are lovely) I happened to get super sick on my last night and Alex took care of me as if I was her sister. I will never forget that!
