Romulo and Gelga are the sweetest, most tentative and amazing hosts!! Cannot recommend this gem of a place enough. Great breakfast, comfortable beds, spacious and clean rooms. Lovely scenery right next to beautiful nature and archaeological sites. If you want to escape the hustle and bustle of Cusco city, this is it!

Amazing owners who bought in hot water bottles every night when it was cold. When I slept in past breakfast they bought in fresh watermelon juice for me. Also gave amazing local recommendations for cafes, bars, restaurants.

“If you want a place to chill and relax in Cusco, that is away from the hustle, but close enough to walk… stay here..!”
We chose this as it was out of town, and in a quiet neighbourhood by temple del luna, a short walk into the national park. Great deck area over their courtyard garden where you can read and relax. The hosts, Gelga and Romulo were so incredibly kind and treated us like their family. A 30 min walk down hill on the old Inca trail beings you into the central town and main square where there are great bars, restaurants and places to hang out. We always got a taxi back (20 soles). Amazing breakfasts each day, and Romulo took us on a great private tour of Sacred Valley.

“Amazing hosts”
The absolute best thing about this hotel is the hosts. Romulo and Gelga are sensational. They are willing to help, offer advice and basically be an abroad family for you. They are great. The rooms were spacious and clean. Also love the hotel dogs (Sophie and Lupo). They’re always friendly and love pats.

“A warm and welcoming home from home.”
Romulo and Gelguita were fantastic hosts, their hotel was gorgeous and tucked away in the natural beauty of Cusco. They thought of everything their guests might need from hot water bottles to lifts and taxis. They stored our luggage and gave us lots of helpful tips. Thank you so much to them for a great stay.

“Just the most wonderful hosts”
Lovely family run B&B on the hill above the Centro historico area and across the street from the Saksaywaman national park - Romulo and Helga are simply wonderful hosts who make every effort to take care of their guests, like providing a hot water bottle at night. Room was very clean and comfortable and a great breakfast was provided. It's great value for money given you can walk downhill via a historic Inca trail directly into the Plaza and get a cheap Uber or taxi back. We much preferred this location than the centre of Cusco which is very busy and expensive.

A truly unique and wonderful place, run by unique and wonderful people. Be aware that it is far from the centre ( a 20 minute walk along a section of the Inca trail, but a long walk back, or ideally a taxi) so if being near Centro Historico is your main intention, this isn't your ideal place. But even then I recommend staying here before or after your Centro Historico stay, to relax, unwind, meditate, walk, have great conversations etc. Breakfast is plentiful and delicious, but for lunch and dinner you will need to bring your own or get Gelga and Romulo to help you order delivery. Gelga and Romulo went above and beyond by very kindly helping me with something for a friend back home. Gelga is lovely and incredibly caring and kind, Romulo is quirky and passionate and fascinating.l and goes out of his way to make your stay unique and memorable. The other young man who works there is also lovely..

A unique and wonderful place, run by unique and wonderful people. If you are aware of the details of the place you will love it. So keep in mind that it is far from Centro Historico. That said, it is a 20 minute walk downhill, and that walk is along a section of the Inca trail, so you can see it as an experience. Also be aware, especially if you are arriving at night, that there are no restaurants or shops nearby. So go prepared with food, Romulo and Gelga will help you order delivery food. The place itself is peaceful and unique and comfortable. It is a few minutes very easy walk from the Temple of the Moon and other Inca sites. There is a peaceful, even spiritual, vibe here. Gelga is extraordinarily kind and warm-hearted and goes out of jer way to make you feel welcome and at home. Romulo is a quirky and fascinating man, with great knowledge and fabulous stories to share. He greeted me with a hug and genuinely cared. Both of them went above and beyond. The other young man who works there is kind and polite and gentle. So to sum up, be aware that you are far from the centre and have a unique, peaceful, lovely experience

The hosts are very nice, she baked pancekes for the kids every morning. The location is great because it is so close to nature. It is also possible to take a nice walk up the hill to the apartment.

“A holiday that felt like home”
We came for a hotel but left with an amazing experience we will never forget. The hosts (Rómulo and Gelga) were phenomenal. They went out of their way to ensure we had the best stay and we really felt at home. We learned so much from them about inca and pre-inca culture. Rómulo took us to local inca sites and taught us with such passion you couldn't help but learn and love where you were. He is an excellent guide. Rómulo also took us on a private excursion to Rainbow mountain and the Red valley, timing it perfectly to avoid crowds and stopping off for some delicious tamalitos. We really feel that he gave us a more authentic and personal experience. The hotel itself is beautiful and well kept. It does get chilly at night so there is a hot water bottle in bed waiting for you - such a kind touch.

“Beautiful property close to nature with the most attentive hosts”
Rómulo and Helga were so helpful throughout my entire stay - they personally picked me up from the airport and dropped me to the bus station. Rómulo was especially helpful by leading me personally to the bus terminal where we realised it was the wrong one - he drove me and dropped me personally to the correct one! I would have been lost without him. They always checked on me and made sure my safety (being a solo traveller) was a top priority. They organised all transportation I needed for tours, and provide their own private tours at a competitive price. The property is located in a quiet area within walking distance of many lesser known Inca archaeological sites, notably the Temple of the Moon which is a 5 minute walk away! Rómulo brings all the guests here when they have a chance, and shares his extensive knowledge of Inca/Pre-Incan history. The area is great for hiking and a short walk (approx 15 mins) downhill to San Blas. The rooms are gorgeous, clean and comfortable, with hot bottles provided every night during the cold season. I would definitely recommend this place for first-time travellers to Peru and solo travellers who might be anxious - Rómulo and Helga will definitely put you at ease and make your stay an enjoyable and memorable one.

It felt like being at home. Rómulo and Gelga weren’t just hosts they were like family. It was great to spend time with them. They made everything happen so we could have a nice stay. Thank you for everything. We will be back. Ps: It’s a little bit out of the center, but there is always an Uber taking you there. Or you can take a walk along the Inca trail and reach the city centre in just 20 min. It’s also just beside temple de la Luna, which is worth a visit.
