Noise from the passing cars are a disturbance at night and in the morning. The light entering the room through the windows and curtains is a little too much, causing one to wake up early.

“Good value for money; walking distance to the cathedral and old quarter”

This hotel was within walking distance of the pedestrian street, the cathedral and the old quarter (Ordem). The neighbourhood was quite quiet and seemed to be more of office buildings, but there were a number of restaurants around and a supermarket one block away (near Osorio Park). Check-in was smooth though a translation app was needed since no one spoke English. Not a big problem. There were elevators to rooms. The room was a reasonable size, the lighting was good and the bed comfortable. There was an airconditioner but I didn't use it since the outside temperature was so lovely, I left the windows open. That however meant that traffic noise was unavoidable. Even with windows closed, there was still some traffic noise. There was a proper desk and power points at both the desk and beside the bed. Wifi was good. There was a mini-refrigerator and a mini-safe. But there was no kettle. The bathroom's fixtures were in good working order. Water pressure was good, hot water came through quite quickly and drainage was good. Towels were clean though a bit worn. Breakfast was a good spread of buffet with a few hot items including quiche. It boasted of home-made jams too. I would stay here again. It wasn't in the luxury category but it was good value for money.

Breakfast is great, localization perfect.

The staff is very friendly, the rooms are clean and the size of the room is really good. Beds are comfortable. Good location and the price was also really good.

“Old and noisy”

Hotel is way past a refurbishment. Reception and hall are dark with old, ugly furniture. Doors of apartments and bathrooms are in terrible condition. Windows have no sound proofing, so we could not sleep with street noise. We ordered two meals at the restaurant and bth were poor. Although breakfast was decent, there is no coffee machine and the coffee served is appalling. We recently stayed at another Atlantica property (Radisson in Santos), which was new and very good, so we thought this could be a good alternative in Curitiba, being a 4 star hotel, but it was highly disappointed and we are avoiding other Atlantica hotels from now on.
