Home from home. Very comfortable. A few minutes walk to Scala shopping, but on a quiet street with a lovely garden. Very good breakfast.

​We spent 5 wonderful nights at Casa Magnolia, and it was the highlight of our trip to Ecuador. From the moment we arrived, our host told us to "act like we are at home," and she truly meant it. The vibe is incredibly cozy, and we loved spending our evenings in the shared living room where we were always looked after with drinks and great conversation. ​The service here rivaled a full travel agency; our host helped us plan our entire itinerary and gave us insider tips that you won’t find in guidebooks. We also highly recommend using their private driver. He picked us up from the airport and took us on several excursions—he was more affordable than other options, incredibly professional, and waited for us at every stop. ​The breakfasts were outstanding—5-star hotel quality! Everything was fresh from the garden, including the eggs and a different fresh fruit juice every morning. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and felt like a private sanctuary. Plus, the location is perfect; it's in a very safe area where we felt totally comfortable walking to the nearby mall and local restaurants. If you are coming to Ecuador, stay here

“A beautiful oasis, feels like a home away from home”

The guesthouse is in a superb, quiet and premium location, perfectly situated a short ride from Quito downtown and close to the airport (they can arrange airport transfer as well). The house is a welcoming and warm place with great attention to lovely details, comfy rooms & beds and a beautiful and relaxing garden oasis. It feels like a home away from home and they also serve a fantastic breakfast. There is a little yoga house in the garden with yoga classes and they can also arrange massages on request. The owner and all of the staff were super nice & helpful and the owner’s dogs & cats are very friendly towards everyone (I did not hear them barking). I would love to come back!!

Definitely the best hotel I have stayed in Ecuador. Meticulously designed by its architect owner Carola, the hotel is a great option for those who want to get away from the noise and chaos of the city, in a quiet, green setting. Carola is also a wonderful host, her delicious food and pleasant conversation are among the most important factors that make you feel at home and at peace.

Casa Magnolia is absolutely stunning. In the middle of Cumbaya yet you feel in a remote, relaxing location. The entire house - room and garden and shared areas included - are clean, well decorated, and well maintained. Breakfast was lovely. Staff are helpful and will arrange taxi bookings etc. Location is comfortable, midway between Quito and Airport. Would completely recommend - and hope to stay there again sometime.

“Lovely beautifully designed place to stay at a reasonable price”

The hotel was designed by the owner who is an architect. It was a lovely property and our room was lovely, plenty of room for the three of us with a mezzanine floor. The garden looked super as well. It's a bit out of the way but we discovered a big shopping mall within walking distance with lots of restaurants and shops which was perfect for our one night before flying out again.

Casa Magnolia is a hidden, beautiful house and garden located near the big shopping center in Cumbaya. It was easy to walk to the mall to find restaurants for dinner without having to drive. The owner, Carola, has created a truly beautiful and lush garden and home that is inviting and cozy. The breakfast room is a cheerful large sunroom with a tree growing through the roof. Our room was comfortable and pretty, with a large bathroom and a small balcony. Carola is an excellent cook and she made a wonderful dinner for us one evening, in addition to an excellent breakfast each morning with fresh fruits and juice, good breads, and eggs. It is a beautiful, inviting, and comfortable place to stay. We felt very much at home.

“Hidden sanctuary in middle of Cumbaya”

Good location, walkable distance from restaurants and shopping mall, at the end of a small street. Nice country house with huge garden with various animals and birds, many plants, feels like a hidden sanctuary. Great breakfast with fruits, toats, variety of cheese & hams, coffee or tea and fresh juice. Good size room with little terrace, good bed, sheets, enough space to keep suitcause, many light outlets, blackout curtains. Nice staff and ready to accomodate my coming and goings, questions and to call taxi as other providers/apps do not come there. Definitely return if I am in the area.
