The host Edgar was very helpful and friendly. It was very quiet at night here and I slept great. The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. I highly recommend staying here during your visit in Cuenca.

“Perfect stay”

The room was quite spacious, lots of room for our bags. The bed was confortable & there was hot water in the shower! The place itself is lovely, only a few rooms with a nice shared kitchen. Location is perfect, close to the historical center, you can do everything by foot.

Quiet and calm room, located near the river and only 10 min. of walk to downtown

I canceled my 2nd night but was unable to cancel through booking.com. Edgar was always there, pleasantly refunded my 2nd night fee. He was calm & tolerant with my inability and frustration with a locked entry door. Always with a smile & offer to help. A very pleasant host.

The host was very friendly and welcoming.

It's family operated and they were all friendly and helpful. I was able to get a small bundle of laundry done without charges. The location is good because it's between the bus terminal and the historic centre, ie, at one end of Calle Larga, which leads to the centre, and has a string of eateries (Pakistani, Middle East and local cuisine). There's also a history museum on this Calle with some interesting details about the indigenous population in the archeological past. There were 2 wide beds in a room, connected to another room also with 2 beds, these sharing a bathroom. My bed was comfortable and warm. The kitchen has fixed operational hours, closing at 8 pm which I thought was rather early until I realised it was to allow guests in the nearby rooms to have quiet time. That's really forward thinking.

“Nice but could be better”

The kitchen wasn't very clean. The rooms faced the kitchen/ dining room and so it was loud in the morning/ evening. Good location to walk into town and the owner was very helpful, helping us to get a taxi in the morning.

“Small and quiet hostel in the middle of the city”

The hostel is small, only six rooms, where the main accommodation is set back from the road, making it very quiet indeed. This was also helped by having a 'no access' policy to the kitchen between 20:00 and 08:00. The rooms lead off the corridor to the main entrance or from the central area, which is covered and is where there are tables and chairs and the kitchen. Our room was very spacious, with a bed, wardrobe and clothes storage, another shelving unit, one bedside table and lamp, with its own good-sized bathroom had a large shower. There was a towel rail and a hook near the shower in the bathroom. The shower was lovely, hot, and powerful. The shared kitchen had a fridge freezer, oven with hob, microwave, hot water urn, and a water purifier. It also had a blender for making smoothies, etc. It had most things needed to cook all our meals. On entry, there was a metal gate that was accessible by a key. The hostel was kept clean. The wifi was excellent, and we had Netflix available on the television in the room. Streaming was never an issue. The hostel provided one lot of washing for free and infact because we stayed for over a week, did a second load for us as well. They recycled plastic bottles, which were collected from the hostel. The hostel is located 10 mins walk from the main eating area, main square, supermarkets and 30 mins from the bus station. It's very close to the museums and other attractions.

Staff were helpful, the location was good - walking distance to the historical centre and on a street with lots of restaurants and bars.

Fantastic location. Very kind and helpful host and his staff who are always friendly and are really a credit to the place! The rooms are simple but comfortable with en suite and even better, there's sometimes free coffee in the morning and they were so kind as to do a small laundry bag for me, free of charge. I stayed here twice and would highly recommend it:)

“nice hostel; terrible kitchen”

the hostel itself is fine staff is friendly, the privat rooms looked good from outside. the dorm room has a weird room concept but is ok. enough space etc.. sadly only one bathroom and no other in the common area.

The owner is one of the sweetest man we met on our trip.. the room is spacious and finally we had some furniture where we can put our stuff on.. Kitchen is well equipped and quiet after 8-9 pm which is amazing since the room is facing the common area.

Great location close to centro but away from bars. Lovely staff, a water filter and nice and clean. Room opened onto kitchen area but noise and lights were turned off by 1030pm.
