There is no staff. No facilities. The toilet makes a very loud sound all night so you can't sleep. Check in process is the hardest I've ever experienced in all my travels, there's multiple codes and websites you need to access in order to open a door

“A beautiful place with a spectacular view”
This is a beautiful place, ideally situated for exploring the old town of Cuenca. Clean, comforrable & tastefully furnished. A spectacular view across the canyon from the bedroom window. We didn't meet the staff, but communication about parking & entry to the premises was good. We were able to park in the free public car park nearbye, at the top of the hill. Very good value of miney

“cuenca is my most favourite destination and I regard this as a serious substitute to meteora”
it's the experience of staying in one of the original hanging homes, what else could you ask for? There is tons to see in this area with lots of stunning walks that are lit at night so you might want to stay a few days or return in the future, although the enchanted city is way out of reach from here, the nearby countryside in these parts of Cuenca town looks very similar and is just a step away from this hostal. You could potentially have a quick nature walk and be back in time for breakfast.

“Monk-like Simplicity in a Killer Location!”
This place is outstanding - but then I was the only guest at the time so I had it all to myself! My room had the feel of a monk's cell (but with most amenities thrown in!). I had an incredible view through two tiny windows out over the gorge to the San Pablo monastery; it felt like I was in a tower. The bed was incredible; firm but comfortable. There is even free tea and coffee available, and cold drinks at a reasonable price. You can't do better for location in Cuenca's historic centre than this place which is a 2 minute walk down the hill to the Cathedral; you're literally in the heart of the ancient settlement.

“Great location with nice host and room condition”
Overall experience is excellent! Location is absolutely the advantage of this Hostal. It is in old town, close to most of the attractions and also good for a night walk. It is also very clean and has everything you need for a stay. The staff is nice and helpful, the only thing is you need to at least speak some basic Spanish when you come to this town of Cuenca.

Location was perfect , long narrow room with a small seating area with amazing views. In the lobby was a fridge with cheap drinks, and a coffee machine for the early morning.
