I love that you can eat in the cafeteria. I wish we knew upon checking in but once we discovered it we enjoyed many meals there.

I prefer the location in the newer part of Cuenca to the Old Town because there’s a greater variety of bars and restaurants, lower prices and the opportunity to mix with locals rather than tourists. Whilst the accommodation is fairly basic, it was spotlessly clean and well-maintained with helpful, friendly staff. Amazing value for money!

The room was simple but very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was a bargain. It's in the new town which has supermarkets, more restaurants and easy access to buses.

“Confortable y acojedor”

Excellent location, it is a walking distance to the bus station (for the buses which take you to the train station Fernando Zobel). There is a bit of a walk up to the Casas Colgadas but everything was worth it because of the beautiful scenery surrounding you. The staff is also very professional and helpful. Our room also has a bathtub which i think is quite rare in hotels nowadays, so this is a pleasant surprise. There is a supermarket nearby in case you need some snacks when the restaurants are closed :)

It is clean and staffs friendly. It is very easy to get to from the train station. Location is very good for restaurants and shops. It takes 20mins to walk to the old town.

“Great value accommodation in a beautiful town”

Hostal Cortes was easy to find, being near the bus-stop and bus station and with clear street signage. The reception staff were friendly and helpful, as were those in the breakfast area. To get to the Old Quarter of Cuenca take the bus or walk. Walking is the best way to see this beautiful town, although the way to Plaza Mayor is uphill and takes about half an hour if not stopping along the way.
