“Lovely stay, beautiful terrace”

We absolutely loved our stay here. We had a great place, spacious and clean with a beautiful terrace overlooking the 2 volcanoes on the island so that alone sells it. Breakfast was lovely. Wifi was good and they have 2 friendly dogs around.

“Best Hotel on Ometepe”

The hostess was suuuper nice, made the best breakfast and washed our laundry really cheap. The best part was her local tipps and discounts for tours and kajaks were amazing! She knows every spot and everyone on the island. 10/10

Hostal cancelled my booking the day before we were due to arrive and weren't even really apologetic or helpful.

The host was kind and available. She proposed us nice activities around. She also propose a menu and she cook very well :) There is nice installation outside.

“Beautiful quiet stay”

The host was helpful booking trips around the island. The hostel offers scooter for renting which is very helpful, as it is a remote location. Although not necessary as there are a lot of beautiful spots (ojo de aqua is just 15min walk) around. The lookout terrace is amazing as well as an homemade breakfast which is delicious. Dinner is optional, we ate there twice and both times it was very good. It is a perfect location if you are looking for a quit spot to enjoy nature, an amazing view and have a look around the island.

“Lovely chilled stay”

I liked my private room, with own kitchen and bathroom. Lived the free breakfast and coffee and the friendly staff.

The view, common area, helpfulness of staff, chill atmosphere, wifi worked well, proximity to ojo del agua. Close to main road between both islands, so if you want a base to explore both islands, its great. Walking distance (albeit a small hill) to ojo del agua where you can easily lounge for 2 days on days where you dont want to drive. On the island, getting around mostly requires a rental anyway, but the hostel provides good prices on rentals and efficient service. Would come back anytime.

“Perfect little spot”

The little bungalow was perfect. It was very clean. With the kitchen, I could be self-sufficient as I was there 8 nights. They did include breakfast, and you could pre-order dinner as well. Good screens on windows & door, and a bed mosquito net.Absolutely loved the shared deck for relaxing! Tatiana and her family were accommodating & helpful. Loved my stay there, met other lovely guests as well.

“Wonderful place with amazing views”

This place felt like a hidden gem in the Island. The staff was super nice and helpful, it gave me more of a hotel vibe than hostel vibe. Food was great as well! There are also two wonderful dogs there that, as the dog lover I am, made the stay even better!

“Great hostal with awesome terrace above banana trees”

This place is a gem. I have stayed here 10 nights, in the room and last four nights in a bungallow. The owner Tatiana with two helpers Francis and Ana make the stay here great - tasty breakfast, clean rooms, surroundings, there is a terrace above a banana farm, where you can see both volcanoes, sunrise, it has hammocks, it is just a perfect spot. The wifi is fine, stable, I was working some days and all good. Tatiana has offered me a space to be closer to the router for my zoom session and it worked perfectly well. This is the place where you want to be once going for Ometepe. I met there nice people - travellers, greatefull for the experience

Nica and clean place surrounded from banana plants , 6-7 minutes walking distance from ojo de agua pools, and 15 minutes walking to the playa.

Great view over the banana plantation to the lake and volcano. The bungalow is also quite nice, the breakfast was good and the staff was really friendly and helpful.

I enjoyed my stay at Bull Shark. Tatiana was friendly, helpful and met everyone of my needs and questions. They have a beautiful location and lovely yoga deck over looking banana trees. My view of both volcanos was great .they gave me directions to kayaking and restaurants..all very friendly staff..thank you.

“Very enjoyable”

Super nice place with a great view of the upstairs terrace. The owner was very helpful and even gave us a ride to a horse riding activity that she organized for us. We even extended our stay because we enjoyed that place so much. Not like a Hostal, much better.
