Paul and Craig were exceptional hosts and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Rather than feeling like guests at a B&B, it felt as though we were staying with old friends. Their warmth, genuine hospitality and attention to detail created a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere throughout our stay. The food was outstanding and a true highlight of the weekend. Paul's expertise as a chef was evident in every meal, with high-quality ingredients, beautiful presentation and flavours that rival those of fine dining restaurants. His culinary talent was perfectly complemented by Craig's engaging and attentive hosting style. Together, they make the perfect team and create an experience that is far more than simply accommodation. We also loved being welcomed into the wider Hillcrest family, including the resident dogs. Jake, their elderly pup, was a delightful companionnd quickly became one of the highlights of our stay. His gentle presence added to the warm, homely atmosphere that makes Hillcrest such a special place.

The property is surrounded by beautiful nature, and it is wonderfully quiet – the perfect place to unwind and disconnect. The food was exceptional. Paul is a fantastic cook, and we enjoyed two delicious dinners during our stay. Both the breakfasts and dinners were fresh, generous, and beautifully prepared. Everything about our stay was memorable. The combination of outstanding hospitality, excellent food, peaceful surroundings, and beautiful scenery made it truly unforgettable. We left feeling refreshed and would love to come back again in the future.

Quiet location with the most beautiful views. Craig and Paul are wonderful hosts and both breakfast and dinner were delicious. I like that we had a comfy bed, cottage was clean and they provided good quality pool towels.

Craig and Paul were delightful hosts and provided a delicious dinner and breakfast outside on the verandah with attentive and humorous service. It was beautifully quiet, set in nature, with a lovely pool, and comfortable places to sit and read.

Everything. This property is hosted by two of the most amazing guys you could ever meet. They were attentive to mall h our stay memorable and utterly comfortable. The property has all the amenities that you need. They have thought of everything to make your stay a fantastic experience. We absolutely loved our stay here and would go back in an instant. If you stay, definitely eat there, Paul is a superb chef. The food was excellent.

Paul and Craig were excellent hosts - extremely helpful, but not intrusive. They gave excellent recommendations for things to do in the area. The location is well off the beaten track and a bit of effort to reach, being 45kms from Gold Coast. However, it is well worth it with the excellent facilities and the glorious views in three directions, being on the crest of a hill. We only found ii because some friends recommended it years ago for any visit to Australia. We made quite a diversion to spend three nights there, and it was well worth it. Paul cooks excellent meals and I would highly recommend booking in for some of his dinners.

The cottage was great, very spacious with lots of room and two terraces. The spa bathroom was also very nice, especially on rainy days. The view of the mountains and national parks was amazing, everything was very quiet and green. Dinner and breakfast were fantastic, by far the best on our trip. Paul and Craig gave us some great tips for the rest of our trip. Thank you for everything!!
