Overview
Located 5 minutes’ drive from La Riviera Nayarit, Grand Matlali Hills Resort Natural Experiences is placed on the mountains overlooking the sea. It offers free WiFi, one outdoor infinity pools and sun terraces. The spacious Suites have a modern-style décor and feature flat-screen cable TVs and iPod docks. The private bathrooms have showers and free toiletries. There is a variety of restaurants. Two themed dining experiencies, La Gira Rodizio and Ikebana. Also you can enjoy the Tequila Bar featuring music and wide screens. The resort also has a modern Beach Club 'Eva Mandarina', located on the shores of the Pacific Ocean, which serves a wide variety of food and cocktails. The beach club is located ten minutes from the property, with shuttle service every 60 minutes. There are 3 different golf courses only 15 minutes’ drive from Matlali Hotel. Other services the property offers are special diet menus, concierge service and touristic guidance. Eco - friendly activities are also available. Riviera Nayarit Marina is 2 km from the place, and Puerto Vallarta International Airport is 25 minutes’ drive away. “Save your money”
It was empty and they still couldn't give us a room with a view. The cleaners need to step into the shower and then clean with the door closed. The ac was weak and they had it pre-set to a minimum temperature so it couldn't be adjusted down. It is overpriced for the room. We got it cheaper using booking.com, but you would have to be crazy to pay full price for the stay. Not impressed!

The service staff in the restaurant were very kind, worked very hard - Ernesto and Joel were constantly coming by our table to provide service, even the early morning after working a very late new years party. The private pools at our enormous room was really a cool feature. There were a significant number of Mexican families also on vacation so it didn't feel like a hotel of American tourists. The pools had almost nobody in them the whole stay which made it very quiet and relaxing

“Amazing customer service!”
Upon my arrival at the hotel, I had no clue where things were. I had to ask for directions, and eventually, everything was explained to me. There was a miscommunication in booking; the room I was assigned was not the one I had reserved. After discussing with the manager, I was transferred to a suite. Despite being advertised as all-inclusive, there was only one restaurant open at a time. Although I was informed there were four, only one was operational. Consequently, we were stuck with buffet meals for three days, with one day offering a different experience where someone took our orders. Nevertheless, all the staff were extremely kind and helpful, and the drinks were excellent. The property was very clean. The food and drinks at the beach bar were also great, with another set of excellent staff. Overall, I had a pleasant experience. However, I wished there were multiple restaurant options, especially since I booked the all-inclusive package with that expectation.
