“Perfect stay and perfect location”

We had a wonderful stay for 4 days. The location is perfect, far enough out of town to feel you are in the middle of wine country but not to far from all the conveniences needed. The Kawarau river is just 5 minutes walk out the back of the property and about a 30 to 40 minute walk to the historic old Cromwell town. Full of artists great cafes and sensational views. Our hosts Sue and Russ are terrific communicators and great people and there if you need anything. The old town of Clyde is only a 30 minute drive and has gorgeous stores and restaurants. The area of Bannockburn is Central Otago itself within 10 to 15 minutes drive to some of the best wineries in the area. My favorite thing was to walk the river every morning. A fantastic way to start your day.

I enjoyed that rural feel, the bathroom and supplies to enjoy. Including the cherries.

Calmness. The place was welcoming, the hosts genuinely wanted to ensure we had a good time, a very impressive property slightly away from restaurants and wineries, but very good to stay at. Certainly I recommend it.

Easy to find; great location between Cromwell and Bannockburn; excellent comms by host; expansive and comfortable accommodation. Spacious outdoor dining area; garden sculptures and attractive trees.

The house was spotless, top quality bed linen and towels, thoughtfully decorated. Communication was excellent. We never saw our hosts but all instructions were very clear and easy to follow.

We were provided with the necessary codes and advice so our check-in was very smooth. We were met on arrival and shown to our room, which was large, with a big comfy bed. The guest lounge was super, and fully equipped. We dined that evening at the excellent Bannockburn Hotel, just a few clicks down the road. Breakfast was at the Black Rabbit cafe.
