The location was beautiful! We had the big room with the balcony and it was really well designed and furnished. The pool was awesome, the restaurant was good and we enjoyed the bar outside.

“Luxurious historic property with wonderful staff”

The property was historic, but brilliantly modernised. Location was excellent for hiking and the views outstanding. The pool was appreciated after a long hike. Staff did everything they could to make the stay great, even returning a lost dog who had followed us to its elderly owner.

Beautiful views over the mountains and valley. Unbeatable in the area. The pool was surprisingly warm. Jacuzzi was great (you have to pay extra). The breakfasts were delicious. Drinks very affordable.

The view from the garden is exceptional and the pool was lovely.

a. very special restoration off the beaten path. Furnishings and general spaces fort the use of guests were exceptional. Excellent dinner in the restaurant. Pleasant breakfast nicely served.

The location is the primary reason I chose this venue, and I was not disappointed. To have a glass of wine with a view of the river valley in the distance was heaven. It was a great way to end our ten day tour of Galicia. The site is on the main road through a small village in the Ribeira Sacra. Its a renovated old stone building, and the renovation is outstanding, retaining many of the features of the original building. The bed was the comfiest we had during all of our stays, and the room size and amenities were fine. The breakfast was basic but OK. The venue also offered a reasonably priced evening menu. Unless you speak Spanish, its useful to have access to the Google translate app.

Location, views, atmosphere

“Friendly helpful staff in a well-planned and located hotel.”

The breakfast was excellent, including homemade cake and jams. The pool was welcome after a hot day. The room was spacious and with a lovely high ceiling. The communal rooms also looked lovely but we didn’t have time to make use of those. The people who worked there were so friendly and helpful.

Beautifully restored stone house with a cozy atmosphere and amazing staff. The view from the hotel is just breathtaking! The room was bight and airy, with high ceilings and a really comfortable bed. We didn't visit during peak season, so the hotel was relatively quiet. We were offered a room upgrade which we really apppreciated! Thank you for the warm welcome and great food! We will be back next time we're in Galicia.

“Just marvellous place to stay”

We were absolutely blown away with the location and the hotel. We booked the superior room and it was definitely worth every penny. Beautiful room and bathroom with a balcony overlooking the Sil Canyon - just loved it. The hotel itself is a lovely rustic old spanish house with lots of charm. Would recommend eating at the hotel as food and wine was both reasonable and of good quality. This hotel far exceeded our expectations for location and room and we would love to have stayed longer

With the exception of a gentleman called Xavier, the staff were unwelcoming and not very professional. The breakfast was bread, bit of ham, jam and butter - not exactly inspiring and for €5.50, over priced. There were insufficient & limited internal areas to relax. The menu was the same for lunch & dinner every day and was very limited but tasted okay.
