Set on the coast, 2 km from the north of Crikvenica, Hotel Abalone is located in the heart of the Kvarner region. Free WiFi is available. Everything was perfect! The staff was really friendly and welcoming, the location was great and really calm - only 20 minutes walk from the sandy beach which was my preference but there are plenty of beaches before that. The sea view room was superb! It was clean and perfect for my needs. Also there was big variety food for breakfast, so I cannot complain :) Ohh I almost forgot, the heated pool and the jacuzzi were so awesome! I will definitely come back to this hotel!

Apartment was even bigger than it looked on the website, and was equipped essentially with more than what's usually needed (kettle, microwave, fridge, stove, etc.). And even if you miss something, the staff is super friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were very good, with lots of options. Location is really great if you're with family, as on one side it's very quiet but on another you have several restaurants/bars/shops withing walking distance. If you like parties, bars etc. - the Crikvenica center can be reached by foot following the road next to the beach. There are cars there, but due to the fact that it's only one way, it's relatively safe. The closest beach is very good and really close (you just need to walk down, max. 5 min without kids :)), it also has a beach bar and it's possible to rent sunbeds/umbrellas. Staff is very helpful, and you can get great advice and recommendations from them. They really make this place awesome. I would say they are the main differentiator and reason for my high ratings. The hotel has lot's of places to sit and relax, a pool and even a room for children to play if the weather is bad.

Very clean, good location, there is a decent restaurant just in 5 min by foot, the sea is really close, just nearly 50 steps down by stairs. Breakfast is ok (eggs, vegetables, ham, salami, cheese, jogurt, cereals, fruits, coffee, croissants etc). Super comfortable bed!

Very nice small hotel, our room was really nice with windows in bedroom and also barhroom, we had also balcony with window, there was plenty of space for our staff and also place to dry our wet clothes. Whole hotel was very clean, matraces were really comfortable! It was possible to park in garage for 15€/day or in front of the hotel for free. Swimming pool was very nice with comfortable water temperature, there were sunbeds and umbrellas around swimming pool. Hotel staff was very helpful and kind.

The receptionist was lovely. She took us to our rooms and later came over to talk to us when we bought a drink at the bar. Her command of English was very good and we had a long and interesting conversation with her about many different things.
