Sea Sea Surf Club is a 25-room boutique hotel in Crescent Head that blends the laid-back spirit of 70’s Australian surf culture with a progressive philosophy. Our surf club aims to be a cultural hub, encouraging guests to deepen their appreciation for music, art, and surf culture while providing an authentic local lifestyle experience. Due to the vintage nature of our building, all rooms and furniture may vary slightly. Before your stay, get connected to Sea Sea Hotel and enjoy our 24-hour Sea Sea Music to accompany your trip. Located just a 5-minute walk from Killick Beach, guests can enjoy our heated pool, children's playground, and wellness facilities. Sea Sea Hotel is a beautifully designed, genuinely special place to stay – stylish rooms, a great pool area and a very cool, laid‑back surf‑inspired vibe that makes it feel like a little destination in itself. The food and drinks are excellent, and the overall atmosphere around the pool and restaurant has huge potential to be the kind of relaxed social hub you want on holiday. That said, it does feel overpriced for what you get, especially given its small‑town location, and the value for money isn’t quite there once you factor in room rates and on‑site spending. The biggest drawback for us was the music: it’s cranked so loud around the pool and in the restaurant that it’s hard to actually have a conversation, which ends up taking over the space rather than adding to the experience. Instead of complementing the relaxed, cool aesthetic they’ve worked so hard to create, the volume clashes with it and makes it difficult to properly unwind. Great soundtracks, but music sets a vibe as an accoutrement - if it’s not a live venue it shouldn’t be the main event. If they dialled back the sound system a notch and leaned into a more chilled soundtrack level, Sea Sea could easily live up to its incredible design and concept and feel like the perfect, grown‑up beach escape.

Beautiful styled and the fit out is superb with a seriously comfy bed and bathrobes. The staff were beyond friendly and helpful and the common areas are a must hang out space.

The place upon arrival left me and my partner with a feeling of excitement, suspense and anticipation. Even pulling up at reception we could tell that we were about to be lucky enough to be about to have an experience we would share for a moment and talk about for a lifetime. The staff were at all times warm, welcoming, accommodating, to me it seemed they were honestly happy to cultivate an environment that would lead to lasting memories. Even when I, in typical fashion got distracted and came and asked if we could be seated for dinner they warmly told us it was no problem at all. I found out after ordering 4 entrees and 2 mains the kitchen was due to close in 8 mins.... Yet even then never for a moment did I feel rushed or an inconvenience. Food was sublime of course. I'll end this here, because at this point even I'm beginning to question whether I was paid to write such a glowing endorsement. I wasn't, I just believe that the kind of effort put in to give this level of service, deserves to be acknowledged and admired. Credit where credit is due. Thank you so much to everyone involved.
