This was our second stay at 130 The Waves, both times we visited between Christmas and New Year. The location cannot be beaten! The apartment has a massive balcony with gorgeous sea views and is convenient to absolutely everything. It’s especially well-located for families as its right across from the beach and playground (and conveniently above an ice cream shop), and a short walk to the main street and its cafes, supermarkets and shops. Pro tip: if you head down the stairs to the right of the playground, the beach has some shaded areas and shallow sea pools that are perfect for little ones to splash in. The apartment itself was spotless. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need, including a coffee machine (they provided enough pods for our stay but if you want to bring your own it takes the Nespresso-sized pods). There’s a washing machine with powder provided, no dryer, but there are drying racks you can put out on the balcony. The beds are super comfortable, with extra blankets provided. There’s a split-system AC for heating or cooling. Even with the busy pub across the road (which has great food and a fun inflatable area for kids), we weren’t bothered by any late-night noise. Communication with the host was excellent and we would definitely stay here again.

Prior to arrival, David, the host, provided prompt comprehensive sms and email instructions and responses to any questions we had about the property. On the day of our arrival, he was only a phone call away to resolve our parking enquiry and where our apartment was located. On entry to the apartment, we were very impressed with its modern appliances, spotless presentation, and feeling instantly relaxed as if we were in our own home. The kitchen had a good-sized bench space with a stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, a coffee maker, adequate cutlery, crockery, cookware, and utensils The fridge freezer also included thoughtfully provided items of a litre of milk, a bottle of chilled water, and ice cubes in the freezer. The apartment even had a washing machine and dishwasher with machine soaps also provided. There were two bedrooms - one with a queen sized bed and the other with two single beds. The main bedroom had sufficient wardrobe and drawer space for our clothes and personal belongings. The bed was very comfortable with lovely clean white linen. The cleverly designed bathroom featured a spa bath and a plastic "roof" on the shower to prevent steam covering the large mirror. The hand and body soap and hair shampoo and conditioner were very refreshing. Adequate towels - and extras - were also provided. Although the complex was close to the main streets by the Cowes beach front and hotels, we did not hear much noise. This ensured our stay was relaxing.

The location is great, the property was also very clean. The beds are extremely uncomfortable and there was a strange smell in the apartment as soon as you entered that was like an electrical smell, opening the windows helped but was concerning.

Property was great. Super clean and location was fantastic!

I was at Phillip island for my daughter's wedding, I booked this location as I could walk to most things, I didn't spend a lot of time in the room as I was with my daughter preparing for the wedding and we did not use any of the cooking or clothes washing facilities but it was a great room that I would book again. After the wedding my toddler grandchildren spent the night with us in this room, they loved being able to go out on the balcony and see the beach
