Overview
One of Vancouver Island’s most comfortable and welcoming stay experiences, the Old House Hotel has it all: location; spacious, individually designed suites; inviting amenities such as kitchenettes and fireplaces; full-service spa; Locals Restaurant four-star dining experience; and “boutiquey” extras. The Old House is an all-suite hotel comprised of two West-Coast-inspired buildings – Maple and Cedar – set along the scenic Courtenay River Estuary. Its central location is a huge plus, located in the Comox Valley, just a few blocks from downtown Courtenay and within a short drive from the Comox International Airport, beaches, hiking, golfing, Mount Washington which features amazing activities all year long and countless other adventures.

We loved the proximity to the estuary. Our suite was comfortable and pleasant with a lovely garden view towards the original old house.

The bed was super comfortable, gym was small but clean and well appointed. I loved the deep bath tub and having a fireplace and a HUGE room.

“All things are possible...”
The front desk lady was absolutely amazing! She went above and beyond for us! Made our Christmas possible!! I will recommend your hotel for the rest of my life just becusse of her!! Don't ever loose a employee like that it's people like her who make or break a buisness and with her in your head office you go from just another average Joe blow hotel too excellent service and a place I will highly recommend for the rest of my life!

“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay & will definitely return (& try the hot tub & spa).”
I particularly liked how welcoming they were to our dog, with a little "doggie bag" which included a towel for muddy feet. The dark washcloth for makeup removal is a smart offering & I appreciated all the hooks for hanging clothing & towels. The furniture, furnishings & decor were tasteful & pleasing. My husband really liked the cookies left in the lobby, along with the cappuccino machine & water. Dinner at the Old House was delicious & reasonably priced. Nice location with easy access to the riverside walk & proximity to the downtown. Finally, the commitment to environmental stewardship sets them apart (compost in the lobby along with recycling bins) & fits our values.

Quiet, clean, and well-located near services. Reception staff were warm and professional. The spa & spa staff were excellent.

“Home away from home”
I was expecting a 'regular' hotel room. I love all the extras from the makeup mirror to the fireplace not to mention an in room dishwasher and washer and dryer! Hubby is obsessed with the coffee machine downstairs, the cookies and apples are a nice bonus too! I would have booked for our entire stay on the island if I had known I would fall in love! The air park path behind is perfect and we walked to restaurants and the grocery store.
