“Charming hotel in wonderful setting”

La Villa St Martin was a charming French home. Welcoming hosts set in a beautiful village. Very Comfortable rooms and fabulous shower which are always our main points. We even had a balcony which gave us outside space that we enjoyed.

“Elegant place to stay with great food”

The room was incredible, elegant, beautifully decorated and filled with antiques and lovely finishing touches, with a wonderful, spacious bathroom, with a big walk in shower and huge bath. There had been a slight miscommunication over dinner, but the owner rustled up an increcible 4 course meal, with the best risotto we have ever had, which with a kir breton and a bottle of red wine included cost 27 euros per person. Very kind (as after a long day's cycling we didnt fancy riding just the 2km back into town ) and incredibly good too. We left before breakfast the following morning as we had a long ride ahead, but i am sure it would have been excellent too.

A unique experience in a beautiful house, set in lovely gardens and countryside, tastefully decorated and full of objets d'art where everything is pleasing to the eye. Caring hosts and wonderful food for breakfast, all home made, from old french traditional recipes. We were very impressed and would highly recommend La Villa St Martin. Merci Jean Pascal et Laurent

Possibly the Chambre d'Hotes against which all others should be judged. A beautiful house, beautifully furnished with great flair, set in lovely peaceful surroundings. Charming helpful hosts, very well appointed, and a stunning breakfast. Beyond excellent.

La Villa Saint Martin is a luxurious and personal Bed & Breakfast in Cournon, within easy driving distance of La Gacilly. The lovely host couple Jean-Pascal and Laurent have combined their dream home with exceptionally beautiful, fresh and cozy guest rooms, a large inviting garden and their beloved pets - including a dog, a cat, an emu (!), as well as some chickens, sheep and donkeys. Breakfast is served and enjoyed at 9:00 with all guests around a large table in the beautiful dining room. Free private parking next to the house is included.

Beautiful garden, lovely house but too abundant of antiquities that you have to take care not to break. The host is kind. For dinner the closest place is La Gacilly, but only by driving.

The hosts are truly lovely! They make a huge effort to ensure that your stay is comfortable, including homemade brioche for breakfast! Would definitely stay here again! Plus the place is absolutely spotless!
