El Cortillo is a chilled little town with amazing beaches and great restaurants. We can highly recommend a stay at Cortillo Star.

Appartment was very comfortable and very well equipped. The location was close to multiple nice beaches and 15 min walk to the centre, where you can rent bikes, surf gear etc. The neighbor restaurant is also excellent.

“Perfect apartment”

We really enjoyed our stay at the apartment. We were pleasantly surprised by the thoughtful extras provided, such as beach chairs, an umbrella, and even a few beach toys—small touches that made our visit more convenient and enjoyable. The unheated pool was a nice feature, and we used it a couple of times to cool off after cycling excursions. The apartment is located near several lovely beaches and there's an excellent Italian restaurant not far away, which we highly recommend. While we didn’t use the kitchen to cook, it was well-equipped with plenty of accessories, making it a great option for those who prefer to prepare their own meals. In our opinion, the apartment is ideal for two people; it might feel a bit tight for more guests. Overall, it’s a well-located and thoughtfully prepared space that we’d gladly recommend to friends or couples looking for a relaxing beach getaway.

“Great apartment in a beautiful location”

We had the most wonderful four night stay at Nicole’s apartment. We loved the location of the apartment which is outside of the main town, making it peaceful and even more relaxing. We enjoyed waking up to the sea view and watching the beautiful sunsets from the balcony. The accommodation itself was spotless, extremely comfortable and has everything you need for your stay - including extras which you wouldn’t always get in a self catering apartment such as beach towels, chairs for the beach and bath robes. Nicole is a great host - we had all the information we needed on arrival and Nicole was on hand to help with anything we needed during our stay. We hope to return!

“Fantastic apartment is a fantastic location.”

The location of this apartment is fantastic its it's only a 5 Minuit walk to Concha beach. We also enjoyed the 10 Minuit walk into the town for bread or a coffee and pastry in the morning. The apartment is very well equipped, clean and tastefully decorated and It has everything for a day at the beach, beach chairs, towels, beach bag, etc. The kitchen is small but has everything necessary to cook a good meal. We also enjoyed sitting on the balcony watching the sun go down in the evening with a glass of sparkling wine. Nicole is a fantastic host, with excellent communication and verry keen to ensure we had the best holiday holiday, she even left us a bottle of prosecco, water and beer for the first night. we enjoyed the apartment that much that we booked for next year before we left, we have never done that before.

What a brilliant apartment! We fully endorse all the other reviews that praise this little gem of an apartment. Nicole is an excellent host, responsive, helpful and friendly - she ensured that everything was perfect for us. Main points: functional design and attractive decor; well-equipped kitchen with all facilities needed, including a 4 ring hob and a microwave; comfortable bed, seating area in lounge and a great balcony for viewing the wonderful sunsets; good shower and bathroom; all spotlessly clean; really good WiFi and TV; safe in wardrobe and alarm system, although we felt perfectly safe in the area; comprehensive house-book. The above summarises an excellent apartment, but there were other individual touches: a personal welcome note, wine in the fridge, bathrobes, beach towels, fresh bedding & towels over our 2 week stay. A great deal of energy, effort and flair has gone into creating this delightful apartment. We think it is probably better for 2 people as it is small, although it was good to have a bedroom separate from the living area. El Cotillo is a lovely place. There is a lot of development going on at present, mainly near the town’s Hiperdino supermarket area. Nicole’s apartment is out of town so away from development noise and very peaceful - apart from the sounds of Atlantic waves 😀. You do need a car but it is relatively easy to walk into town, either along the beach or the road. Restaurants: one of us is fully vegetarian which restricted us somewhat. Catering in the apartment was fine, but we ate out at the following: Azzurro (on the doorstep) - great for drinks/cocktails plus one veggie pasta dish, which was tasty! Happy Cactus - a great little vegan place with excellent fresh food. Nina - the other side of town, with some excellent veggie skewers. For those of you who aren’t vegetarian there are plenty of options. Yes, we have booked for 2026 - we made sure of that before adding to the many other good reviews!

It was beautiful and everything we needed was there. Nicole was very helpful both before our stay and when we were there, answering all our questions quickly. A wonderful host.

We loved the apartment and the view from the balcony - the sunsets were particularly stunning. The beach is across the road. We were provided with beach towels, deck chairs and an umbrella too. The kitchen had everything you could possible need and a dishwasher. The bathroom was spotless and had everything to hand including a high powered hair dryer and a lighted make-up mirror. Plenty of towels were provided including tea towels in the kitchen. The TV was a smart one where we could watch Netflix on our own account. There is another TV in the bedroom. The bedroom was spacious and the beds were very comfortable. There is aircon throughout. The wifi was excellent. The apartment has been refurbished to a very high standard and there was great back-up from NicoleT. We hired a car at the airport so it was easy for us to shop etc. There are plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. There is a wonderful restaurant Azarro House a stones throw away and the same people run the Beach Bar. We had a wonderful holiday and we will be back! We would recommend this accommodation to everyone.

Beautifully furnished, modern style with everything you need and so much more. A lot of thought and effort has gone into ensuring even the fussiest of guests can have a little luxury. Towels in abundance, robes, comfy terrace, air conditioning, coffee machine and just so many little touches you just don’t get anywhere else.
