“Reservation that was both there and not there – Schrödinger style”
I had a confirmed reservation via Booking. Between March and July, OYO sent me 115 WhatsApp messages demanding prepayment. When I replied through Booking, they reassured me that my booking was fine and I’d pay on arrival. Spoiler: there was no booking on arrival. I had to pay $162.86 instead of $128.99. And on the second evening, there was no hot water. The only redeeming factor? The front desk lady. She was helpful, kind, and clearly holding this ship together with sheer willpower. Tip: Bring backup plans. And maybe a boiler.

“Amazing staff, great location but badly in need of updating”
We were warmly greeted by Debra who was awesome and welcomed us with hot chocolate and lots of info about the area. Nothing was too much trouble and she and her husband met our request for a fridge and microwave by delivering them immediately and without hesitancy. The location was great, very close to the beachfront and the USS Lexington.
