“Awesome retreat in the jungle with outstanding hosts and service!”

We literally loved everything! The hosts Rafael and Marc are super kind and do everything so that you have a perfect stay. The rooms are well equipped and look fantastic! In general, the interior design is so detail-oriented and solely beautiful! We also loved the pool and restaurant area! There are only a few rooms which creates a very relaxing and unique atmosphere! You can watch and hear birds from the pool area while also listening to relaxing music. Breakfast and dinner have been 10/10 with a set Menu and the best service. We loved it so much so that we decided last-minute to change plans and book another night at the retreat. So overall, 10/10, highly recommended and every penny worth it!! Thank you, Marc & Rafael! Can’t wait to come back one day!

WOW! What an incredible experience. Owner managed and with the upmost of care and attention to the very finest detail. If you can stay here, do! It is an opportunity not to be missed. A truly stunning jungle retreat where you are immersed in both nature and absolute luxury. The 'villas' are beautiful. My room had a huge terrace with seating, double hammock, outdoor shower (second to the main villa shower) and a fantastic view over the pool and surrounding jungle. The cocktails & food were amazing, as was my full body massage. Very comfortable bed and I hope to return again. x

“The perfect getaway”

The perfect birthday getaway. I was looking for a special accommodation for my birth on our trip through Costa Rica. When I found the Vayu Retreat Villas online, I was stunned by the pictures of the retreat. Usually pictures of hotels do not show the reality, just the best spots. But here it’s different. When we arrived we were flashed by this amazing place. Even if the entrance area is not quite finished yet, it does not interfere with your stay in any way. The amazing pool area, the beautiful restaurant (with delicious food) and the overwhelming rooms are perfect. Everything is matching the style of the hotel. From the first minute the owners of the hotel gave us a very friendly welcome and took care of our well-being at all times. As the hotel has not many rooms you can really enjoy the peace and privacy. We loved every minute of our stay and would highly recommend the hotel for everyone who wants to relax and enjoy the Pura Vida.

We stayed 3 nights and everything was absolutely excellent! The managers Marc and Rafael in particular are incredibly friendly and kind-hearted. We felt super comfortable at all times and more like we were visiting friends - thank you so much for that! Our room/apartment was fantastically beautiful and the breakfast and optional dinner in our own restaurant were also lovingly prepared and super tasty! We are simply thrilled by all the warmth and attention to detail!

'- The vegeterian dinner at the hotel is really very good. - The support of the managers, ,Marc and Rafael, is fantastic. We can communicate any time with them by Whatsapp. They always answer quickly. They booked for us a whale tour and recommended very good restaurants (we dinned at Mestizo tradition & fusion, in Uvita, which is excellent).

We absolutely loved our time at Vayu. This place is extremely modern, has tasteful rooms with comedy beds and also a lovely pool area. Our Highlight was the Restaurant that offers amazing vegetarian/vegan food. The owner Marc and Rafael are super lovely people and make this place extra special! Thanks for the really nice time.

The staff are true perfectionists. They showed excellent taste in decorating this fine boutique hotel. Bedding of the purest quality guarantees a perfect sleep. Perfect airco and wifi. Food is simply the best of its kind, vegan and veggie delight.

From the moment we arrived we became relaxed by the eviroment created by the Vayu Team! We felt very welcome and the mood was very calm and chilled out. The rooms are perfect and the beds even more, they were so comfy that we had difficulties getting out! The food that they serve at their restaurant is of a different level, so delicious!(try the loaded backed patato!)
