Beautiful Lodge up in the woods with a spectacular view over the bay. Very comfortable rooms with cosy beds. Great breakfast, beautiful garden. Probably the most spotless place in Neu Zealand! With the nicest hosts. They really take care and try to make Your stay special. We can recommend this place highly.

“Luxury Coromandel Stay”
Our best accommodation so far during our month long visit to NZ. The room is very well appointed with excellent linen, super modern bathroom with a great shower. The views from the expansive wrap around terrace are to die for. Did I mention the lovely breakfast cooked to order? Lynn & Kelvin were great hosts & I would wholeheartedly recommend.

“The perfect place to relax”
Stunning property, the most amazing views from the outside terrace. A little outside Coromandel town, up in the hills, but Sharon's taxi service will drop you in and out of town for dinner. The hosts Lynn and Kelvin were so welcoming, a very comfortable room, great shower, and the breakfasts were perfect- set us up for the whole day. Sitting outside in the evenings was one of the highlights of our trip.

“A luxury and relaxing stay”
The owners went out of their way to make eveything perfect. Everything was immaculately clean and of superior quality. The king size bed and pillows were too soft for me but that's just my preference. Outside was just good with spectacular views and a huge deck to relax on and to enjoy the fabulous breakfast supplied by Lynn. After a day out exploring the Coromendal coast it was lovely to come back to the peace of Atea Lodge and play a game of pool in the games room. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend Atea Lodge. The owners are very nice people and made us feel very welcomed.

This Lodge is stunning. It has incredible views over the tree tops to the sea, the adjoining wrap around deck huge deck is huge and a great place for breakfast and sunsets. The room was incredibly comfortable, and full of the attention to detail and level of fittings you find in a top hotel. Breakfast served was delicious, fresh, homemade and generous. The hosts here are welcoming and professionals who really care about providing the best guest experience. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again and recommend.

The Atea lodge is located in a spectacular position. But like all businesses, quality depends on the people who run it. Lynn and Kelvin are excellent hosts and have spoilt us for the next place we stay. it will be a hard act to follow.

“Highly recommended”
Beautiful isn’t enough to describe this place. Truly breathtaking views and a very comfortable stay and I can’t think of anything to make it better. Our hosts went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we wanted and the breakfasts were delicious. We will be back one day, we hope. We will be recommending it to everyone we know.

stunning views located not too far out of town. you get what you paid for. little activities around the property that are very romantic and fun. Kevin and Lynn- the staff/owners are amazing and very accommodating, will do anything to make sure everyone feels welcome and has a nice time.
