“A super stylish stay in Cordes”

We were over for a surprise party in Cordes and had decided to stay a few days beforehand, as it turns out the venue was just opposite which was brilliant for us!! Right from the get go, Paul & Daniel were fantastic hosts, we had a very late arrival and Paul stayed up to meet us and let us in, he answered all my questions really promptly and tried to get us on to a balloon flight which unfortunately never came off. Our room was lovely, the bed was super comfortable and the little balcony overlooked some stunning views. The pool was also a big plus, a really good size for a decent swim and lots of loungers to chill on. As we didn't go for the breakfast buffet (which looked delicious), Paul kindly made us a pot of coffee to take out onto the terrace.

Le Chevalier Noir is easily one of the best places we've ever stayed. Paul welcomed us warmly and made sure we had everything we needed. The house itself is gorgeous and nicely redone. The view is incredible. The breakfast delicious. The pool a bonus. And the location within Cordes-sur-ciel is ideal. Our room was very comfortable and also with a fabulous view. The morning mist in the valley below was just enchanting. A challenging situation arose for us while we were there and Paul went out of his way to help. Totally above and beyond. My advice is to look no further and book a stay right now!

We stayed Paul and Daniel for four nights. We loved our comfortable and characterful room with its large bathroom and walk-in shower. Excellent personally tailored breakfasts on the terrace with its fabulous views kicked off each day. Paul was a mine of information on where to go and where to eat. A wonderful break with two fabulous hosts!

Location, location, location! Stunning views give the impression of open countryside, although the exquisite village of Cordes-sur-Ciel is just over your shoulder. Our room was spacious and pretty, with a very comfortable bed. 10/10 for all of this, but what makes this place exceptional is the quality of hospitality extended by Paul and Daniel, who are great fun and have the rare gift of making you feel instantly at home. Breakfasts are tailored to each individual and served with loving care. They also freely share their knowledge of the area, helping you make the most of your stay in the region. Our stay here was the highlight of our holiday in France and we look forward to our next visit.

We loved staying at Chevalier Noir in the beautiful town of Cordes - Sur- Ciel. It's so perfectly located for exploring on foot the pretty cobbled streets and stunning medieval buildings, shops, bars and restaurants. Paul and Daniel were superb hosts and made us feel so welcome on arrival and throughout are three night stay, giving us advice on where to go and what to do and also recommended a couple of excellent restaurants in and near Cordes. Paul also cooked a delicious three course supper for us on the Sunday evening which was excellent. The view from the terrace is breathtakingly beautiful and so was the view from our very comfortable bedroom window. The swimming pool was a big bonus, we enjoyed a refreshing swim on the hotter days and relaxed on the sun beds with our holiday reads. Perfect....

wonderfully situated with panoramic views of the Tarn Valley, and a fine stately house that was much more ‘home’ than hotel especially given the attention to service that Paul the host put in and the comfort of the sitting and dining rooms. Eating breakfast on the terrace given the warm Autumnal weather was a bonus . Bedrooms with great linen and very comfortable meant 2 nights of good sleep despite the impact of fine French red wine
