“A wonderful true camp in the maya jungle”
You’ll be seeping in the reserve like you should be sleeping in a reserve. Not like eco lodge from the maya train era. You have monkeys, spiders and others insect all around. There is even a path to an observation tower to see birds. Sound of monkeys and birds.

“Adventurous night in the jungle”
The campsite is lost inside the jungle which feels quite adventurous. You can spot monkeys and other animals/insects.The beds were comfortable and the tent was clean, no insects or anything inside them. Carlos who welcomed us is very friendly and nice, we ate the family restaurant down the road and it was really good! The breakfast as well. Just an hour away from the site of Calakmul. Overall a good experience!

Don’t go into a fancy hotel and instead enjoy the luxury of sleeping in the middle of the Mayan jungle. Wake-up for the sunrise view of the tower and then enjoy your day at the ruins.

Brilliant location for visiting Calakmul - 5 kms down the Calakmul turnoff . You couldn’t be nearer. Beautiful jungle surrounding with 2 jungle walks. Helpful and knowledgeable staff . Delicious restaurant nearby

“Great spot to access Calakmul and experience the jungle”
I liked that it was a tent with a bed in the jungle. There was a table and two chairs outside the tent to chill/eat at. Composting toilets and a plastic container of rainwater to wash your hands (and refill water bottles if you can filter it). Close to Calakmul ruins (well, 1.5 hours ish away). A couple of trails and a freaky bird viewing tower! We had dinner at the restaurant up the driveway and it was yum.

It is really nice camp. Everything is pretty good. But it depends on what you are expecting. The camp is at jungle so be prepared to improvised, see what you did not saw. The nature is really cool.

Insolite housing, the closest to calakmul archeological area if you discard the luxury Tren Maya hotel. Carlos was very friendly, helpful and speak a good english.

Sleeping in the jungle. You can spot monkeys in the trees and have a walk in the suroundings. The tents are relatively large and comfortable.

“My second trip to ya'ax che/loved it”
This place is a gem! I've been twice...once to visit the ruins and again just now because I love it so much. It's a campground in the middle of dense jungle...with walking trails. There are monkeys all around and many birds. The family that runs it has been there in the jungle all their lives. I will return!
