Overview
La Baita Conguillio is a lodge located within the Conguillio National Park, operating on a 33-hectare private land where work has been going on since 1995 to integrate conservation. The center offers accommodations in both rooms (single / double-superior) and cabins of different sizes (3 to 8 people). All facilities are immersed in a green area of native forest in front of the Llaima Volcano. Restaurant service is offered in the center. La Baita has kayaks and mountain bikes, whose use and cost can be arranged upon arrival at the Center. In the Conguillio National Park and its surroundings, guests can practice numerous activities from hiking to rest and recreation on the beaches of the nearby lakes (from Baita 2.8 km Lago Verde, 5.1 km to Lago Arcoíris, 7, 5 Lake Conguillio). It is possible to book in La Baita prior to arrival high mountain excursions with certified guides in the area, including: ascent to the Llaima Volcano, Sierra Nevada, ascent to the Sollipulli Volcano and others. Access to Baita is through the Cunco-Melipeuco valley, with the Araucanía airport 120 km away and the city of Temuco 110 km away.

Wonderful surroundings inside Conguillio national park, huge and comfortable beds, friendly staff, cosy and good restaurant (for both dinner and breakfast). Possibility to book a hot pot and „rustic“ sauna.

“Rustic beautiful lodge in the park”
We stayed in the cabaña and it if creaking annoys you, then you need to consider that everything creaks - the floor, the stairs, the doors. Our cabaña was for 6 people and if someone is sleeping downstairs, they will hear all the nightly calls to the toilet, since one WC is on the first floor, and two bedrooms are on the second floor. There are no electrical appliances (microwave, kettle, refrigerator, but food can be stored in the refrigerator in the restaurant kitchen). The kitchen is equipped to a minimum - if you plan to cook there, it might be a challenge except the simplest things. If not to count cabaña itself, there is a very nice space in the lodge building with cozy atmosphere, terrace and restaurant. The owners and staff are very attentive.

“Comfortable place to stay in the middle of a beautiful national park.”
Breakfast was good! Location in the park is excellent, and there's plenty of parking. Lovely communal feel in the dining area - books to read, and a lovely open fire to relax in front of. The room was warm and comfortable - there was a gas heater in there to help with the cold mornings!

“What a wonderful, peaceful retreat. Dinner was excellent!”
Location was excellent! Very peaceful retreat. No wifi, which had good and bad qualities. Wifi would have been helpful to log into the national park website and get information about the park, including maps and hike recommends, but staff were extremely helpful in answering these questions. On the other hand, no wifi made it a true retreat with the ability to unwind and disconnect in such a peaceful environment.
