“Lovely “Hobbit house” by the river”

I stayed in a small lodge, the Tent shaped ones. It was clean comfortable and the kitchen part worked well. Access to the river was via a small beach

An excellent campsite. Small but perfect. Free bikes and Kayaks were available and the very kind owners helped us with these. An excellent gift shop with affordable local crafts. Bread and bakery available to order every evening which was superb. There is a bar open every evening serving a simple menu with a theme a night e.g pizza or burger. Again this was cooked by the owners and was very good and affordable. A range of pitch, camping/glamping options. We stayed in a safari tent which had all the equipment needed. Plenty of space. The owners were very prompt when I had a problem with a kettle. Highly recommend. It was very convenient for visiting Confolens - which is genuinely a very short walk away - and for us, to visit my mother locally. Thank you it was perfect.

Amazing location, lovely staff. Toilet block adequate, clean, but not luxurious. Tent was well equipped and pitch right on river with direct access for swimming or paddle boarding etc. Walking distance to town.

Beautiful location right on the river, easy walking distance to the town centre.

Location. Well set out. The bed was so comfortable. Things were clean ie cutlery and utensils.

No food on site, but you could irder pizza in advance or breakfast /bread in advance. There is a hypermarket approx 5-10 mins drive away and the "tent" we had came with sufficient facilities to self cater. The town was a short walk away with some bars / cafes, bank and some restaurants. A fish and chip shop was open Weds to Sat (not tried). The location was delightfully peaceful and right on the River Vienne. Our "tent" was small but had everything we needed including a comfy double bed and power. We were right on the river - it was delightful. The shared wash facilities were very good and at a high standard. Loos are external in a separate block but were clean. Just be prepared as a lot of French camp sites do not provide toilet paper. Would highly recommend this site.

Loved everything about it. So peaceful and beautiful and the hosts were so lovely and accommodating. We will definitely be back and we will bring the rest of the family with us

Beautiful location on walking distance from Confolens. Great location with kids. Camping is next to the river with it's own Beach. They have canoe's available free to use. In the area there is lots to do with kids.
