The chairs outside (chez long) to watch the sky at night! The Milky Way was visible, with the naked eye. Like in the movies.

“Highly recommend for your stay on Isla Del Sol”

Beautiful room, Sonia and family were fantastic. Those windows and the views absolutely makes the hike up all those stairs well worth it. Comfortable beds with plenty of blankets and a heater was available to warm the room as night settled in. One of the best places we stayed on our travels throughout Bolivia.

“Beautiful views, beautiful rooms and beautiful people.”

This is my second stay at Utasawa. I loved everything about it last time and this time is no different. The rooms are fabulous with the most incredible views. They are beautifully finished and very spacious and comfortable but the best thing about Utasawa is the owner and her family. They can’t do enough for you and are always so friendly and accommodating.

“A stunning location on a beautiful island”

Beautiful room with a gorgeous view of the lake and snowcapped mountains. Really lovely and helpful hosts who helped us arrange a boat to the end of the island so we could hike back. Fabulous breakfasts. They also sorted out donkeys to bring our luggage up the steps to the lodge from the port. Unless you are super-human this absolutely necessary in this thin air. There are a lot of local cafes and restaurants, but you need to be prepared to walk further up the hill for these. We stayed 3 nights which allowed us to relax and really enjoy this beautiful island.

“Paradise on earth”

This is paradise on earth. The owner Sonia is super nice and happy to help. The room has the best views you can imagine. Also, you can enjoy the restaurant of this lodge if you like. Plus, the breakfast is amazing. I would definitely recommend this place!

“Bedroom with a view”

Nice big window which made you experience the beautiful view at day time. The room was big enough, mattress was firm , great for me ! The room was cold during the night, a heater could be used for 1 1/2 hour. Unfortunately the sun did not shine at 6 pm anymore on this side of the island, which made the temperature drop considerably. Also i found it unfortunately that i could not order and eat my dinner at 5 pm. Only as from 7 pm if i understood her well. There is a good restaurant in the village that has good healthy food. I did not like deepfry ,so they helped ne out with steamed fish with sauce, really excellent ! 😘😋 Restaurant Inti Jalanta, on the other hand they served me quinoa which had a bad taste and was spoiled 🤨. Go for a walk to the North and back by boat or by foot again.

Sonia and her family are really kind and lovely people. The accommodation was stunning. The location perfect. We loved our time here.

“Great place to relax and enjoy the view”

Beautiful view from the lodge, Sonia the owner was extremely welcoming and hospitable. The bed was very comfortable too and the shower was fairly hot. Breakfast was delicious too. Had a wonderful 2 nights on Isla del Sol and would love to return one day.

“Wake Up to Sunrise!”

If you’re not on a tight budget - this is definitely the place to stay in Isla del Sol! The lodge itself is very cosy, clean and modern. We could tell how much care and attention has been put into its upkeep! But the view from the lodge is phenomenal, overlooking lake Titicaca in such a way that you can watch sunrise from your bed! Honestly a 10/10 experience - would highly recommend!

The room was spacious, the bathroom was nice and we had a spectacular view over the lake. Breakfast was great and diverse as well. The staff were very friendly and helped us with explanations about the island.

Amazing property, the hosts were friendly. The best stay we had in Bolivia, the room has comfy beds, it was spotless and had a heater. The views are splendid over Isla del Sol, we very much loved our stay. The breakfast was amazing and we also ordered sandwiches to go before leaving Isla del Sol and they made them for us. You can pay in USD/Euros/Bolivianos. Highly recommended

“Amazing!”

Amazing view of the lake. Spacious room with patio to relax and enjoy the view. Lovely restaurant with other options nearby if needed. Regrettably, we were only on the island for one night as we would have loved to stay longer. What a lovely find, 100% recommend.

“Treated as kings and”

Oscar was so nice to us. He made us a great meal. The trout was fantastic. In the morning also we got a great breakfast. He treated us as kings. The view was also fantastic. Please ask Oscar to organize the mulls for your coffins. It is quite a walk to all the hotels. Utasawa is quit near compared to other hotels.

“Magnificent view from cosy room.”

Our room had magnificent view on snowy mountains, with a sitting place close to the window. Breakfast was very good. WiFi was excellent!! This is the same for any accommodation on the island: Be aware that you need to climb steep stairs from the harbour to the accommodation ( you get the view in turn); do therefore not take too much luggage, though the hotel arranges carrying luggage on request.

“Idyllic, peaceful”

The amazing views out over the lake, restaurant on site for included breakfast and other simple delicious meals. Sonya the host was lovely.
