Overview
Offering 15 ecological cottages built with local materials on pre-columbian agricultural terraces, Ecolodge La Estancia offers accomodation overlooking Titicaca lake. Built with mud bricks, stone and straw, each cottage is equipped with a passive solar heating system and a private bathroom. In addition, each cottage offers panoramic views of Titicaca lake, the moon island and the Andes mountain range. A buffet breakfast and a set meal for dinner are included daily. Ecolodge La Estancia also has a restaurant and bar on site, where guests will be able to savour local dishes and drinks while soaking up the undisturbed views of the lake. Guests at the property can also take part in activities, such as hiking, mystical ceremonies, archeological tours, as well as other cultural exchanges. La Virgen Morena and Copacabana are 1 hour away by boat. Both Pilkokaina Ruins and Yumani Bay are 20 minutes away by boat. El Alto airport is 3.5 hours away by car.

“Poor communication mars what could have been a lovely experience”

“Beautiful place with lovely staff”
Pretty much everything - particularly the location and stunning views. The lodge was much comfier and more modern than some places we’ve stayed in Bolivia. The manager was wonderful and arranged for us to stay an extra night when I was too ill to travel as planned.

Amazing lodge on Isla sel Sol with stunning views on lake Titicaca. Friendly staff. The room was very confortable, perfectly clean and well equipped considering the location / type of stay. Breakfast and dinner (included in the room rate) were excellent !

Beautiful location, a short walk to the mountain view point where you can see a breathtaking sunset. Lovely rooms with comfortable beds and views. Fantastic food! Dinner and breakfast included, my family absolutely loved it! Friendly and very helpful hostess who made us feel very welcome. Thank you very much for a memorable stay.

“Beautiful lodge with an extrem friendly and obliging staff!”
Shortly after the booking the Ecolodge already contacted us and asked us how we get to the island and if we need a transport. They would have also get our luggage from the port to the Ecolodge because it takes around 30' by foot. We were welcomed with coffee, tea and a fresh juice!! Our lodge was beautiful and very clean. Also the dinner and breakfast was amazing - they made something special for us because we're vegan. 10/10 - we would totally come back!
