“Cosy sleep to the sounds of the sea”

The location was great. The breakfast was so amazing especially after a very busy morning swimming. The staff were really friendly. The beds were really comfy and the pillows very supportive. The views from the rooftop bar were exceptional. Can't wait to visit again.

We were there off season, in April, so it was not super crowdy. Good room, good breakfast. Hotel arranges evening programs for all ages. Overall good stay for few days.

We were very happy with the choice of the hotel. All the staff were really pleasant, kind and helpful. The hotel is renovated, although some details are a bit shabby, but overall everything is nice. The children slept comfortably on the sofa bed. We were happy with the choice of pillow firmness. The food was fantastic beyond expectations, everything was tasty and there was a large selection.

The location of the hotel was so convenient, right on the boardwalk with access to lots of swimming spots. We had gorgeous sea view from the room. The room and hotel was very comfortable and clean and as it has been recently renovated everything was very modern. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. This time of year there were plenty of sunbeds available at the pool and the beach platform sunbeds were a great facility too.

We had the most wonderful stay at Hotel Universal Romantica in Colonia Sant Jordi. From the very first moment, the staff made the experience special – everyone was always smiling, warm, and incredibly helpful. Whether at the reception, in the restaurant or bar, or even the housekeeping team, every single person went above and beyond. I also really enjoyed practicing my Spanish with such friendly people, which made the stay feel even more personal. Honestly, they all deserve applause (and a raise!). The hotel itself is beautiful, spotless, and very well taken care of. We loved the facilities – there was nightly entertainment, a Sky Bar with great views and atmosphere, and even a yoga class we joined. Everything felt fun and relaxed, yet really well organised. The location is fantastic: just a short 10-minute walk into town, where you find nice shops and cozy bars (Es Punt Café Concert quickly became our favourite spot), and only steps away from the breathtaking Estanys beach. The white sand and crystal-clear water there are truly unforgettable. We had an incredible time and are already looking forward to coming back to Colonia Sant Jordi – and without a doubt, to Hotel Universal Romantica.

We had breakfast, lunch and dinner, everything was excellent. The room was comfortable and clean. The staff was very friendly, they allowed us to take a shower ahter check-out in the afternoom, that was very kind.

The selection and quality of food during breakfast and dinner were immensely good! The ambiance of the hotel appears new, refurbished, and clean. The staff at the reception seemed to have all the major languages covered. They have a rooftop with an amazing view on the sea and island. Lastly, the shuttle to/from the hotel was very smooth.

“A disappointing location and dated hotel.”

The car park was behind the hotel and was full, making it difficult to park anywhere nearby. The room was dated and one of the lifts wasn’t working. The beach next to the hotel was disappointing. Access to swim in the sea was off a jetty, over slippery rocks and down a ladder - inaccessible for a lot of people.
