“Relaxed atmosphere and perfectly located close to the old town”
I stayed at the Bungalow with garden view. It is a very beautiful and quiet place with a lovely Garden. Its very clean and well equipped. The historic center is only a few steps away. Everything important is within walking distance. Fred, the owner of the appartments, is very helpful and can give you any advice you need! Luckily I had the opportunity to check out a little later for free! I extended my stay there because of the beautiful old town and the great accomodation.

“Unexpected accommodation in Colonia”
Fantastic central locatIon… The little apartment with its colourful mix of decorations reminded us strongly of a cabin we stayed at in Namibia overlooking a hippo filled river. This analogy was helped by the outlook onto a wonderful tropical wall of green vines and bamboo.

Very special and unique place with a beautiful garden and lots of art and charm. The house is very well located and only a ten minute walk from the ferry. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Excellent location and majestic place - perfect in its simplicity and so interestingly artistic. The hosts were super friendly and helpful. The house brings you close to nature and makes you feel really relaxed and calm. I wish we could stay longer. Highly recommended!

Very stylish and great location. The room was large and very comfortable. Fred was extremely helpful and has a lovely eye for decoration and the kind of details that make you feel right at home. He was flexible and responded fast to any queries we had.

“Eclectic / quirky which we enjoyed but might not be to everyone’s taste”
Great location for us - short walk into the centro histórico and also a short walk to ferry (and bus) terminal. Quirky place - stylish in an eclectic way. The room was spacious and facilities good (kettle, fridge etc). Great use of recycled materials (which we liked but might not be to everyone’s taste as it gave it a very rustic / unsophisticated feel)

Fred was a wonderful host. Our bungalow was private and quiet. The kitchenette was perfect for preparing breakfast, and we could use the main kitchen for dinner.

“Good place, poorly hosted.”
The place is beautiful, the location is perfect even though Colonia is not the best tourist destination. The room and kitchen are relatively well equipped, spacious and bright.

“For an exceptional stay”
While traveling, certain places really stand out and this is one of them - for both the beautiful home and the welcoming host, Fred. He checked in with us a few days ahead and sent all sorts of useful information on things to see and places to eat. Fred has lovingly created interesting, comfortable and beautiful accommodations just a short walk from the Old Town of Colonia. He has paid much attention to detail, both artistically and functionally. There is a beautiful little garden to relax in, a library filled with books and art pieces everywhere. We spent a lot of time just looking around our room at all the delightful art work. We couldn't have enjoyed our stay more.
