I spend two wonderful nights solo at Caliu. I really enjoyed the quality of service. Everyone working there made me feel at home. I very much enjoyed my room, pool, breakfast as well as dinner. Caliu provided me with contacts of a taxi company as well as a bike rental. I can recommend both. In case you want to rent a bicycle to get to the beach or town I’d advice you to organise it before getting there, so your bike can be delivered timely.

“Romantic weekend in a calm and beautiful environment”

I wanted to go on a romantic weekend trip with my boyfriend, and i don´t think we could have chosen a better place to stay. The surroundings was beautiful, the staff was so welcoming and helpful, and we loved to have the opportunity to swim in the pool at night, and use the hotel´s bicycles to explore the nearby city. This is really a unique place with a very good atmosphere that gives you the chance to connect with nature, and really relax.

“Our Wonderful Stay at Caliu Earthship Ecolodge”

We spent 2 nights at Caliu Earthship Ecolodge with our child, and it was wonderful from the very beginning! We were warmly welcomed - the hosts turned out to be incredibly kind and attentive. Our room was ready upon arrival, complete with a comfortable baby crib for our little one. The room was warm and cozy despite the unusual eco-architecture - everything was thoughtfully designed for comfort. The place itself is very peaceful and atmospheric, with a true sense of connection to nature. The buildings are unique yet functional, and very pleasant to be in. We especially remember waking up to frost on the grass - it felt like authentic country life! We particularly want to mention the restaurant - both dinners and breakfasts were delicious, served in a homely, friendly atmosphere. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an unusual yet comfortable stay in harmony with nature! We'll definitely be back!

“A magical spot for couples”

It's a wonderful ecolodge with lots of privacy and tranquility. If you want to experience the countryside of Uruguay without being far from a touristic city, this is the spot. Everything was just perfect - from the amazing shower to the internet access, to the comfy bed, and the very convenient and delicious food they serve in the restaurant they also have in the property. The breakfast was delicious and homemade. I cannot stress enough how happy we were to stay there. It was a really magic night❤️

The unique concept, the off- grid sustanable approach. The "hut" was cute and comfortable. Lovely ambience! Bed was great. Hosts great, friendly and accommodating. Food excellent. Very tranquill place.

Lovely peaceful and very comfortable place to stay on the outskirts of Colonia. The apartments were spacious and very well decorated and designed . The restaurant is very good for both breakfast , evening or lunchtime meals when open . The staff and owners are all very nice people who provide an excellent breakfast and meals at lunchtime and evening which are also delicious . Helen who makes & serves breakfast is a really nice, fun , and a very helpful person to speak to . Jessica and Mauro were great hosts too ! A wonderful relaxing place to stay in a very beautiful setting ‘ We will return very soon !

The warmth and friendliness of the staff were remarkable. They went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable and memorable stay, adding a personal touch that made a significant difference. The vast grounds of the lodge are an invitation to immerse oneself in nature. Strolling among the beautiful plants and enjoying the breathtaking sunsets were some of my favorite moments. It's a perfect setting for relaxation and reflection, allowing one to truly disconnect and recharge. The breakfast served at Caliu Earthship Ecolodge was a delight. It stood out as one of the best meals I had during my three-month journey in Uruguay. The quality, taste, and presentation of the food were exceptional, reflecting the lodge's commitment to providing a top-notch culinary experience. It's just a 10-minute drive to Colonia del Sacramento making it conveniently accessible while still offering a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle. . In conclusion, Caliu Earthship Ecolodge is a one-of-a-kind accommodation that I highly recommend to anyone visiting Colonia del Sacramento.

The property was so unique!! It was simply extraordinary.

These people know what they are doing! Make you feel welcome and give a perfect place to come to rest. The bed is huge and very comfortable. Beautifull environment and the best breakfast in Uruguay so far with homemade bread and local products. I advise you to stay for dinner as well. Great food!
