We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful hotel in Colombo. Danushka was excellent and made sure we wanted for nothing throughout our visit; his service really made the experience special. The jacuzzi was lovely and the pool area was just as relaxing. There are so many great spaces to unwind, from the quiet library to the downstairs courtyard and the upstairs chill-out area, which made the whole place feel like a peaceful retreat. The hotel itself is stunning, the food was delicious, and everything felt like excellent value for money. It truly felt like an oasis in the middle of the city of Colombo. We would happily stay again.

“A beautiful haven of peace in the city”
Ishq is one of the most wonderful hotels I have ever stayed in - and I’ve seen a few. Well, I call it a hotel … it feels more like staying in the home of a friend - if your friend had a stunning house, impeccable taste and made you feel welcome and cared for every minute you were there. We would also like to mention our host Asanga, who could not have been more warm, kind, welcoming and helpful.

We spent our last night in Sri Lanka at Ishq and shaved we could stay more. It was the perfect place to end our trip. The building and its decor were stunning, with the attention to detail flawless. A truly great place with very attentive staff.

“An outstanding boutique choice in a nice part of Colombo”
We loved the boutique style at Ishq. The personalised service from Dhanushka was fantastic - he introduced himself as our Butler and definitely played that role perfectly. The Sri Lankan breakfast was delicious. Parking on site was excellent and safely off the street. The pool and jacuzzi were nice and we appreciated being able to use the shower mid afternoon before flying after a hot day exploring Colombo.

Absolutely amazing place! The whole villa and room were beautiful. Our room was big and spacious with a big bathroom. Our bed was super comfortable and the breakfast was extraordinary! Can't recommend enough. And thank you Darshana for making sure we had a marvelous stay!

“Absolutely worth it and so sorry we couldn’t stay for longer”
I cannot fault this property. Everything was beautiful and the attention to detail was absolutely meticulous. The staff were friendly and authentic and the intimate nature of the villa was so lovely and something that they obviously work hard to maintain. We had an absolutely delicious dinner and breakfast there for our single night, as well as scheduling double massages at very short notice. They also upgraded our room to the master suite after accommodating a very late date change in our itinerary. I would absolutely recommend staying here- we did and although we were splashing out from our travel budget, we did not regret it for a second.

The service and value at Ishq is beyond 5 stars. There were so many thoughtful details both in service and interior design. The garden is a stunning tropical oasis and it was a real treat to cool off in the pool after walking around in the heat. The food is also incredible and we enjoyed dining in. Darshana was the most graceful host and made us feel very looked after. The location is excellent and we were able to walk to Barefoot to pick up gifts for friends.

“Best hotel in Colombo”
Staying at Ishq Colombo was seriously one of the most incredible experiences I’ve ever had. As soon as we got there, we were totally blown away by how beautiful and unique the place is. Every little detail is so thoughtfully put together, making the whole property feel super special. What really made our trip was our butler, Darshana. He was absolutely fantastic and went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. He made us feel so well taken care of the entire time. And the food? Oh my gosh, the food was unreal. We had lunch and dinner, and for lunch, the burgers were some of the best we've ever had. Dinner was even better. I had the barramundi, and it was cooked so perfectly it tasted like it came straight out of a Michelin-star restaurant. Ishq Colombo is the kind of place you won't forget, with stunning design, amazing service, and food that will blow your mind.

“Lovely oasis in Columbo”
Beautiful property close to the centre of Columbo. Stunning garden. We were only there for a night but the staff were very kind and accommodating. The jacuzzi on the roof was an added bonus.
