We always stop at Dolce when we visit Colombo, the breakfast is great, the staff are very good, the bedrooms are comfortable and the meal are wonderful. All in all fully recommend it.

“Good food and good stay”

The room was very big, and so was the bathroom. The bed was very comfortable. The room overall was quite clean and they cleaned it everyday and offered fresh towels. The Aircon worked well. There is a nice reading nook to read your books but it can be quite hot there without Aircon or a fan. The breakfast was amazing, so many courses and really tasty and good quality. The food from the restaurant for lunch and dinner is also really good, quite authentic Italian food.

This was our second visit to Dolce Italia Rooms, and it was just as wonderful as the first time. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. The room was very comfortable, spotlessly clean, and had all the essentials we needed. We'd happily come back again!

good basic room on top of an italian restaurant. the place is very calm for colombo and yet not to far out to explore around. breakfast is a good continental one and the staff was very nice. nice hangout area with books. we could safely store our luggage after check out until we left in the evening.

“Unorganised”

Unfortunately, I can’t really rate this hotel properly as we never had the chance to see the rooms. We confirmed our check-in time in advance but didn’t receive a response. When we arrived, we were offered a complimentary drink, which was a nice gesture, but we then sat waiting for about an hour without being shown to our room. My husband eventually went to ask what was happening and was told that the bathroom was under maintenance. He asked if we could at least leave our bags in the room, but we were told that maintenance staff had taken them. After waiting so long following a 12-hour journey, we decided to find somewhere else to stay. The hotel suggested a place down the road. Highbury Colombo was double the price, but at that point we were exhausted and had little choice but to take it.

I got a rooftop room, so only me on the top floor, no neighbors. I liked a lot stylish design and colors, everything was well thought of and convenient, even got an anti-mosquito appliance, power socket that was a fit to European plugs, hair dryer, fridge. I liked a lot the bathroom design — great idea to paint everything in white. Great pastries at the restaurant, nice view from the balcony, overall I was feeling safe and happy. I liked shower gel and shampoo a lot - my hair feels good!

Rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable...Breakfast is really really good...good value too...restaurant is excellent, world class patisserie, great pizza but they wont put pineapple on your pizza for love nor money, very good coffee....all round a very good spot

The restaurant is magnificent, quality Italian products, extensive menu, proper cooking, very good service. The owner (F) is friendly, and even handed over the room well before check-in time.

The location is good. The staff is very friendly. There is an Italian restaurant on the first floor. We booked a room with breakfast and had breakfast from a restaurant menu. We had dinner in the restaurant. The meal was tasty. There was live music in the restaurant on the weekend evenings. It was our best hotel in Sri Lanka.
