What a delightful hidden gem! Although we stayed for only one night, Aathma Colombo House left a lasting impression. Every corner of the property tells a story, filled with character, color, and thoughtful design. The atmosphere is warm, unique, and wonderfully authentic, making it feel more like a beautifully curated home than a hotel. Our only regret is not staying longer to fully explore and appreciate all the details that make this place so special. We will certainly return for a longer visit next time. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a truly unique boutique hotel experience in Colombo.

“Excellent hotel”

One of the best hotels I stayed at whilst in Sri Lanka. I spent my last 2.5 days in Sri Lanka here and the staff were so kind and welcoming. The hotel manager was also super kind and went above and beyond! The hotel feels like the home of a wealthy artist/architect. The interior design was breathtaking and the location was like a mini island oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the city but still well connected.

Amazing property, super quirky and well put together. The staff are lovely. Breakfast excellent. Tip: use uber and order a tuk tuk to get to sights, lots of fun and very cost effective.

The property is very artistic and pretty for sure and thankfully it did resemble what they had on the site. Calm and serene, very humble staff which took care of us patiently. Customized our dinner and breakfast too. Property is a colour riot and poetic!

Honestly didn't expect to be this impressed but Aathma Colombo completely won me over. The room alone was worth it — exceeded every expectation. If you're in Colombo, just book it.

A gorgeous boutique hotel within easy taxi or tuktuk distance of central Colombo. The stunning eclectic decor, beautiful outdoor seating areas, and wrap-around pool create a truly relaxing atmosphere. We stayed in a garden room, one of the lower-priced options, but it was every bit as stylish and luxurious as the rest of the hotel, with vibrant colours and gorgeous furnishings throughout. The hotel exceeded our expectations on every level. Breakfast was sumptuous, and the staff were consistently friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend — genuinely one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in.

Absolutely beautiful place to stay. The decor is breathtaking as soon as you walk in! The room was gorgeous and the staff were very attentive, helpful and there for anything you needed which made the stay wonderful. They serve excellent food and drinks with lots of options and it's all delicious food. It's a nice peaceful location away from the busy city, and lots of nature walks nearby as well as the pool to relax in. I have nothing bad to say, hopefully be back soon!

“Amazing stay”

The stay was fantastic. It is truly a labour of love. Each nook is artistic, service warm, good excellent and a super friendly resident cat as an added bonus! We met the owner who is herself and artist and had a lovely time. Definitely visiting it again!

The room and property were serene and cozy. The place was decorated intentionally and was delightful to explore. The staff were very friendly and made us feel at home. The food and drinks were unique and tasty. We enjoyed our stay thoroughly and hope to come back soon.

“Excellent stay for our first night in Sri Lanka”

The beds were so comfortable and the room was fully air conditioned and cool for our arrival. the pool are amazing surrounding the front of the hotel and looking out onto the water.The hotel is very secure and fully locked up for the night. the breakfast was great overlooking the pool with large tree coverage to cool the area.

This is the most beautiful boutique hotel I have ever stayed in. It is a paradise of exquisite craftwork, fabrics and design, exotic, tranquil gardens that connect into the house everywhere, faultless, old-world, service and delicious Sri Lankan food. It is so peaceful that you feel relaxed the moment you step inside. It is just extraordinary. I cannot recommend it more highly.

Everything was perfect. We loved our stay here. The traditional breakfast was outstanding, one of the best we had during our trip. The staff were amazing and did everything to ensure we were having a wonderful time. Thank you so much
