Quiet location, - this is a beautiful small hotel (6 rooms I believe) with unique artwork, a small saltwater pool and a tiny, gorgeous garden. Loved the food also, especially dinner. Easy to go anywhere with tuktuk.

Such a tasteful place, with the sweetest staff! The room had a beautiful decor, als the house itself. The pool was tucked away but good for a quick refereshing dip. Also very private, it felt as we were at our own place.

The house is stunningly beautiful and renovated with a very artistic eye. It's a quirky building, very deceptive from the outside, but the bedrooms are exquisite. The bed and the furnishings are so comfortable, with the softest, most luxurious sheets that cost as much as a night's stay. Such a treat to sleep under them. The rooftop pool would be lovely if the weather was good (it was overcast during my stay so I didn't really need the pool) and apparently there's a steam room though I didn't actually find it. The breakfast is very good (with a caveat...below) and served by polite and cheerful boys. It's a quiet place where nobody bothers you.

Very nice place and a lovely pool to cool down. The staff was so kind and helpful. The breakfast and dinner were so delicious, very big portions, many options and reasonable prices.

“Cosy Stay at 55TG”

We liked all of it. The location was excellent and we couldn't believe that it was in the middle of Colombo. It was so peaceful and quiet and there seemed to always be a cool breeze blowing through the property. The property itself was lovely and was beautifully designed and decorated. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable with all the amenities one could require. We had dinner on our first day and breakfast the following morning. Dinner simply super. We had the cheesy pasta, vegetable spring rolls, mushroom soup and garlic bread. All of it was delicious and so well done. Breakfast the following morning was also great. We had the continental breakfast with the soufflé eggs. The fruit was fresh and soufflé eggs were light and fluffy. Finally, the staff were amazing. They were friendly and helpful right from the get got and we couldn't have asked for better service. Special shout-out to Hashan who helped us with our bags, food and the pool. He was awesome!

The hotel is beautifully decorated. The staff were very friendly and helpful. A special thank you for bringing me cake and a candle for my birthday. This was a very kind gesture... unfortunately I was rushing to go to the airport so I didn't have time to eat it, but greatly appreciated the gesture.
